Religion uses fear as a control method. Don't take anyone's word on What IF. Do the leg work yourself then make up your mind. The more a religion uses fear to control you, the more wary you should be of that person. Even in religion there are narsasistic people who'll enjoy taking advantage of you and beginning to gaslight you. Believe what ever you like, dear, I won't discourage you that. But when it comes to people, one person's voice shouldn't be enough to convince you without the leg work. Find your own path to what you believe. And not what men have decided you should believe. Do your own research. Find your own way.

I do find out for myself and especially I do rely on the holy spirit. But you can get answers form the holy spirit by listening to other opinions. I was just expressing that sometimes I learn from listening to other opinions. I by NO way just listen to people and take what they say! I want to make that clear!!! I believe it’s “The wagon box” talk/prophecy by President Taylor. I grew up in South Eastern Idaho. I think it was given somewhere near to where I grew up. (Iona Idaho) Pres. Taylor talks about how beautiful homes, green farms, schools/universities etc. will replace the sagebrush that was everywhere at that time.

Yes I do think this meeting in April 2020 General Conference was very significant but at that solemn assembly he did not call the stakes of Zion to return to the New Jerusalem so I would not be surprised if there is a solemn assembly in the future are more of the 2nd coming events progress.

There's some confusion between the contents of the seals and the opening of each seal among some members. So remember that the Book with seven seals contains a record of God's work throughout the 7000 years of its existence. (D+C 77:6) and that each seal contains a record of each thousand year period. (so the first seal contains the record of the first thousand years, the second seal contains a record of the second thousand years and so on that's according to verse 7) So we are currently living in the period of time recorded in the 6th seal, which shutoff contain a record of things like the restoration, the building up of Zion, the restoration of the 10 lost tribes, calling of the 144,000, and tribulation to name a few of the big events. In the sense that we're living in the time recorded in the sixth seal, that's the seal we're living in. However, on KZfaq, there's the popular thought that the opening of each of these seals as we read them in Revelation aren't independent of the start time of each seal. I.E the sixth seal contains a record of the sixth thousandth year, which is about the years 1,000 ad - 2,000 ad, so some assume that the sixth seal opened around the year 1,000. This is wrong, and contradicts Joseph Smith's teachings on the subject. So while we are living in the time recorded in the sixth seal, that doesn't necessarily mean the sixth seal on the book with seven seals has been opened.

I never specified which seals have been opened. One thing that I know will be a different concept for you (since you don't share our faith) is the Book with Seven Seals is defined as a record of God's work on this earth during its entire temporal existence. Each seal contains a portion of that record, each 1000 years. Now in Revelation, we read what happens when each of the seals is opened. And you're completely right, they are all last day events. The concept of opening seals being indicators of a sequence of events is in the Bible, and the knowledge of what's recorded in the Book with Seven Seals is doctrine revealed to Joseph Smith by God, and can be found in Doctrine and Covenants 77:6-7. I never stated anything contrary to the 144,000 being called from each tribe. There are members of the tribes scattered throughout the world, but it's also prophesied that a large company will be brought from the "north" in a miraculous highway made by God. (Isaiah 11:15-16, 35:8-10, 62:10-12, Jeremiah 3:18, 16:13-15, 23:8, 31: 8) While there are scattered members in all the lands you mentioned that will be gathered, there still will be a "large company" of people that will be brought from the "north" in a location known only to God

That is where belief comes into play. It’s everyone’s choice to decide what they believe to be right or wrong, and as Christians, we believe that the terrible things happening now are the judgements of God coming to the Earth. These are the last days to choose our side, whether we will serve our Heavenly Father, or whether we will serve the Devil. In order to have real peace and love, we should live the way Jesus Christ lived, so what power would be sending down judgements other than the creator of our world? If you believe that there are tangible beings out there who consist of either good or evil, then it would only make sense that the advocates for good are preparing to save Their children from the wickedness of the world. It is the law of love that will win because it is the truth, and the truth never dies, and if we uphold the truth, we will live forever with our creator because we will be like Him, full of love and wisdom. The Bible has prophesied that conditions on Earth will get worse, and that all of these are signs of Christ’s second coming to Earth. I hope this makes sense! :)

@@rodagrail3231 It took me a few minutes, but I found the scripture you were asking about. It's in Doctrine & Covenants section 115 verse 4. There was some debate (for several years) among members of the church about what to call it, and they had changed the name several times until the prophet received the revelation of what Jesus himself wanted it to be called. At one point they had called it "the Church of Latter Day Saints" and "the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints"...and Christ added that it should include his whole name: Jesus Christ. (The spelling was later "standardized" to include the hyphen, thus correcting a misspelling of the word "latter-day"...makes sense to me, since the revelation that was shared was a written version of what the prophet heard)....but anyway, they were pretty close, basing their decisions partly on differentiating themselves from some "offshoots" that had decided not to stay with the prophet and the majority. I find the history in general pretty interesting.

@@duncansh81 I'm afraid you missed the part in the Book of Mormon against he practice of Priestcraft. It's rampant in the church. And we often support it. So I'm trying to choose my teachers who aren't guilty of the practice is all.

@@Dunlappin I know that part in the Book of Mormon well and subsequent verses that mention anything related to priestcraft. I understand where you are coming from and I probably agree with you on many aspects of your opinion. However, there's a few things I'd push back on. The issue is a few things: 1) priestcraft is almost exclusively when someone tells you that you have to buy something in order to progress in the Kingdom of God. 2) you chose to view this and you can skip the commercials so it is completely voluntary on your part 3) he's not using his office in the priesthood to preach (not sure that makes much difference) 4) you have access to all the same materials that he does, he's done the work for you. What are you willing to give him in return for his work?
