Hey hey guys, I will be uploading high quality strategies for Gekko on all maps and I'm starting with Ascent. They take a bit of time to figure out but we'll be finding the strategies together on stream in the next few days, so expect great stuff in those videos too 😁 We'll be playing a lot of Gekko and I will share anything good I find! I would like to add: Gekko's main strength is the fact that he can reclaim his util and use them again after a short cooldown but this is also his biggest weakness. That being said, on defense it might also be beneficial for you to use your util safely. Good thing is, Dizzy has pretty much unlimited tagging range as long as the enemies are within line of sight. You can essentially aim Dizzy straight up to the sky and throw him as far up as possible so he can see past walls and tag people. this is especially useful for early info. The best thing about this is that Dizzy will end up landing where you were standing and will be safe to reclaim and use later.

Was thinking this while watching. Some of the plays on defence were ott with the aggression and not utilising Gekko’s best feature

Gekko is an interesting agent. Doesn’t give me the excitement to use like kayo or fade on release, because you could be a hybrid duelist with those two. I guess I’ll just stick to my duelists

I'd like a video involving Gekko nowadays. These Gekko guides were really cool! I do believe however most of the community has taken a disliking to how strong or weak Gekko is now that he's had time to be played. I would love to hear your current thoughts on Gekko!

i feel like his flash needs a buff maybe the duration or maybe it covers your whole screen instead of a glob and it activates faster or it has more health when i went up against a gekko the flash was barely a problem for me

Did the Gekko peek fast enough or make you move your crosshair at least? Reyna flash is really easy to counter by shooting, for example, she's still the most picked duelist it feels like. I think incorporating bounces and making it annoying to track the flash helps making it survive!

@@GosuPeak I feel he's a strong agent & annoying one to play against. And his kit definitely feels Overpowered and have a really small Cooldown. Buddy Planting and defusing, just imagine 1v1 situation us against gekko. Gekko may fake defuse himself at first to give away the impression that he has no abilities left. And then put in buddy which itself is a tank to shoot. His ultimate is actually crazy!!! I think it's 200 hp rhino running at top speeds putting enemy in lockdown for 5 secs! That's insane. Doesn't matter if you shoot down the ultimate, gekko is peeking around the corner now and we are on reload😂 OVERPOWERED! kinda expected harbor to have such water animals😅

With gekko I think you shoud always get back atleast one intiating ability (wingman or dizzy) if you don't have those then you are playing cs

The problem with some mosh lineups is that they require you to jump, jumping can affect where it lands effectively so if you mess it up, you're fucked. Thanks a lot peak, you gave me the motivation to create and study mosh lineups, i made ones without the need to jump and the positions to line things up are pretty covered from both flank and offense.
