She did what she said she would do from the beginning. She wanted to break the wheel of tyrants. Through her came the liberation of the 7 kindoms. She was the true Queen even though she never sat on the iron throne! 👸🏼

Season 8 doesn’t exist. Dany became something that Rhaenyra couldn’t. A queen with great vision and hope. She started a new reign of prosperity.

Don't talk down on Rhaenyra, Rhaenyra would have been a good ruler as well had she been allowed to rule without men ruining her life and taking everything away from her

@@lilsk5229 I'm team black myself dear but we gotta admit their flaws too. Tbh we can't be so sure about Rhaenyra's reign especially book Rhaenyra but for show she was still a blood supremest. Yes she wasn't all cruel and vicious as the greens but she still continuously drags herself in situations where she was questioned for her competency as a ruler. She was always too late to take her duties seriously, by the time she actually did work up on her duties there would already be bigger issues arising for her to handle because of her previous ignorance of situation (something that she took on as heritage from her father's reign).

What a waste, such a strong powerful , cruel and yet merciful female character, all that she fought for ended up in one bad written sequence, I still can't belive they did that to her , I mean what were they thinking, she could've been the promised queen , and the new Targarian dynasty in westeros, like really her and John snow , they could've revived the Targarian family once again .but I guess that what happens when the writers give you good writing materials to hold on to and then they just flash it down the toilet.

All the people that kept her grounded died. S8 was a disaster, not because she went mad, because it went 'too' fast. She descended into madness from the very beginning for some people, but the last season was just ridiculous (and sadly not only for her, they ruined so many). It's a sad thing she couldn't be portrayed as the one Targaryen who didn't eventually lose it. And then, I guess it depends what you consider madness, 'cause I'm a 1000 % after every decision she made. I would have burned them all, starting with the North who I sacrificed half my army and a dragon for to save. (yes they had to stop the white walkers there or else they would've been unstoppable, but still). I woul've burned King's Landing too, Cersei was the heart of the problem but the people there were the absolute worst. Innocent people always die, no matter what you do. She had dragons, she didn't need advice from idiots who had no idea how to use those properly. And when she finally decided to make her own decisions all the way, it was too late. Hope the book at least portray her end better than the show.

I'll always advocate for House Targaryen, but Stormborn is a different case. I love the Mother of Dragons, and I too would and will stand behind her no matter what. The people of Kings Landing were horrible. The "innocents" would grow up to be just like their elders. The people of the North were ungrateful. Daenerys's madness was a product of of environment. Everything that happened pushed her into it. D&D can burn with their arrogant asses in Dragonfire.

She should've flown directly to Kings Landing and done what she wanted, she would've had all of her three dragons intact as well as her army and allies. Fuck Jon - he made her defend the North then killed her when she went mad over the loses he caused her to lose.

Ikr? No one notice her sacrifices and immediately labels her as a tyrant. The whole “there were signs of madness in her from the beginning” argument is bullshit. The scene where Viserys dies, Dany’s reaction is totally relevant. At that point she’s too numb to ‘mourn’ him cause in that moment all she was just looking at was an abusing non-dragon king being punished. She, a Khaleesi; worked hard to get a name for herself. She earned her army and raised her baby dragons. In the end all she wanted was to be recognised but people took her too much for granted especially the Starks but all she got in return is death in the hands of her love. Season 8 was the worst ending they could give her.

Finally someone sees it my way 🤣 I completely agree. She said one line in the final episode, one line that WASN'T rushed writing that no one picked up, that showed that she wasn't mad at all. Yes she was pissed, but her actions was very much necessary. Not RIGHT, but NECESSARY. The world we need won't be built by men loyal to the world we have....... That's the truest statement the entire show ever said, and it wasn't given the emphasis it should have. Because it's the crux of the entire show. It's the POINT of what Dany was referring to when she said she wanted to break the wheel. Just having another name ruling THIS world, that's really run by the high end powers that be, doesn't change anything. If the people were still there, she would have just been another tyrant that no one wanted that eventually WOULD have gone mad. That's not just because of Cersei, or even Joffrey or any other king. That's how they WERE. That was her point. That's WHY she said that. Not because she was emotional and mad. Because she realized that she couldn't rule people that didn't want to be ruled

Watching House of the Dragon her ending does make more sense. The only thing that can destroy the Targarians is themselves. They had everything going for them they knew what was coming and they still destroyed themselves. Dany did the same.

What they did to her character was the ugliest example of literary misogyny. A female character starts off as a frail child and is developed by the author to become a warrior queen, not bent on conquest, but focused on liberating slaves. In the hands of feckless show runners, this heroic female character was turned into a murderous tyrant. I will never watch anything produced by Benioff and Weiss again!
