3:00 there is theory that it was done by the God of many faces. Jaqen H'ghar to Arya that initially faceless men were the slaves from Valyrian Freehold. He told her that 'the God of many faces set them free' or something like that.

Backstories of A Song of Ice and Fire are so amazing. Thank you for explaining. By the way, before it's doom, other Aesos people were scared of Valyrians. Is them having Dragons was the only reason? Or was it that they had the rare metal called Valyrian steel too? Please explain about Valyrian steel in some video.
