"Hit The Stage" was a dance show (it had only one season), where the best dancers in the idol industry competed with each other. Every episode has a theme and the idols have to came up with the choreographies according to that theme (like "devils", "uniforms" or "love"). The live audience votes for their favorite performances of the night and one idol wins (every theme has different winner). Some idols that participated and you might know are Taemin, Chung ha, Ten (NCT/WayV/SuperM), Shownu (Monsta X), Momo (Twice), Yugyeom (obviously).. "Hit The Stage" was a way for the main dancers of idol groups to show that they ARE the dancers, not only singers. All of the participants were idols, who spent years and years training contemporary, ballet, tap dance, hip hop, jazz.. Even before being a trainee for some of them - they really started as just dancers and became idols later on. So for someone like me, who's very interested in dancing, it was amazing show. And Yugyeom won the final episode, when he went against many participants who already won previous episodes. So he won against the best of the best, and he's often referred to as "the winner of 'Hit The Stage' ", even if they had a few winners in that show. But he was the final boss haha

I always wanna cry when listen to 1.31AM, they wrote the song together at 1.31am. JB was injured(Herniated Disc) a few day before their 1st world tour started and he unable to attend the concert. Youngjae had to sing this song alone. After JB's recovery and join the concert, Youngjae was so sick and was not able to sing. It was a very difficult time waiting to see them sing this song together.

if JB goes hardcore on stage no one can beat him in terms of stage presence and facial expression, this man is a beast on stage jbs injured his back during that unit performance and he missed his last performance with youngjae in the concert and he had such rough times during performing that song got7 good contents and good songs and performances are so much that i dont know which one i should recommend you guys but if you like r&b please check their unit JUS2 " focus on me" studio version " take me to you" got7 teenager performance at mbc music festival 2017 got7 " i am me" and " seasaw" and got7 japanese MVs " new era" and " i wont let you go" amazing

JB and Jinyoung honestly have been through so much together to the extent that they call each other their soulmate. From the start of their journey as artists they were together. When they both auditioned for jype they won joint first place and have been together ever since. Jinyoung said asking them how close they are with each other is not even a question. And this mirror performance really is a true representation of their relationship. Honestly i love them so much!!! You should definitely check out their orgel live performances. Please you are missing out by not watching. Their vocals are gold!!!!! Also Bounce!! It is their debut song, so different from tomorrow today yet so good!!! Please react to it

HIT THE STAGE is a dance program where Yugyeom participated and actually won 1st place! You should check out his two last performances (EP 9 and 10). It will totally blow your mind! You won't regret it :)

JB and Jinyoung were casted for roles in Dream High 2 (a drama by JYP ent) and after gaining significant popularity through that jyp decided to debut them as a a duo JJ Project. They were very successful commercially as well but were put into hiatus where they appeared in couple other dramas but later were added to the official lineup of Got7.They later made a comeback with verse 2 in 2017. Fun fact JB and Jinyoung first met at the jyp audition and were suggested to pair up for the finals where they ended up winning 1st place together and joining jyp so they've basically been with each other since the first day haha

GOT7 are honestly one of the best live performers in K-Pop. Aside from the fact that they have such great vocals already, they also have great stability that even when they're dancing strenuous choreographies, their live vocals don't falter.

Youngjae's vocal range is ridiculous! The thing is that he's known for his power vocals and high notes, which are outstanding and we all love it, but he doesn't really get a chance to showcase his lower register and softer tones much. It's sad because his lower register has such a beautiful tonal quality, it's rich and full. And he sings with such ease but also with everything in him that you can hear the emotion in his voice. You should check out his OST "Falling in Love" as well as his solo "Nobody Knows" and his cover of "To my youth" and "Square"

JB is like a calendar, just looking at his hair you can know when they recorded a video in particular. xDD

I agree with your opinions about labels. There's so much that it's speculated by us the fans and although it may be truth to some extent we can only see a side to it. And there's so many people working on a company and making decisions that it wouldn't be fair to blame one side( not every time ofc)

the lyrics of Tomorrow Today is so beautiful!! its one of my favorites and that album "verse 2" is one of my fave albums!! That KCON was in LA, California. they have KCON all over the world! around US, Asia, Europe, Australia, etc.. Almost all of GOT7's songs are written and produced by them starting 2016. 2014-2015, some members participated in writing some of the songs. but yeah.. 2016 onwards - its them! :)

*Their concerts are indeed such a good experience I’ve seen them twice and a lot of other artists and theirs were so good like they 100% live without any backtrack and from start to end they give their all there’s no dull moment honesty I don’t know how they manage to perform like 2hours with that much choreo and still be stable vocally, that’s some athlete level*

It's very true, Youngjae really has a wide vocal range but as a vocalist, he really isn't able to showcase himself more yet, even already after seven years of debut. If you want to hear more of Youngjae's vocals, I hope you can also check out Youngjae's To My Youth and Square covers! He also has appeared in King of Masked Singer and Immortal Songs! His solo performances during Seven Secrets in Thailand, especially Trauma and Flower were something else too.

Kcon is like a event where kpop idols come together to perform in the same stage, There is Kcon LA (the one you watched) Kcon Thailand, and Kcon Japan. Yes it's like those anime convention but Kcon is like a place where multiple fandoms come to one place to watch all the kpop idols come perform

Thank you so much for this! Love your reactions. I really appreciated your discussion about JYP vs Got7 issue. I think that there are some things that the label should do that aren't linked to the aspect of creative freedom through - like actually do something about Got7's stalkers instead of just always posting the same statement, and put english subtitles on their pre-recorded videos that they upload on youtube/v-live. Most of the things that have subs on v live have been translated by fans. I think most fans are also upset because they see that these kind of things are given or done to other groups and their content, like Twice that are also under JYP. However - I completely agree that it is really good that Got7 have people inside the label that will give them criticism. Now their songs not only go through JYP anymore, but through a group of staff who vote on which song should be the title track, and the members appear to have some influence over which other songs end up on the album. Also, the 1:31 AM performance was extra emotional because it was the first time they performed it together. JB hurt his back, so he was sitting out for most of the fly tour, and only joined for the encore/final performances in Seoul which this performance is from. Next time, please react to the lyrics to tomorrow today by JJ Project as well - I think its some of the best JB and Jinyoung has written. Their whole album that they released in 2017, Verse 2, is amazing.

JJ Project was at KCON LA 2017. JJ Project originally debuted in 2012. Jinyoung and JB tied for first place on the JYP audition. That had never happened before. They then trained together. Then they became JJ Project and did an album and MTV series. They did concerts and fan meetings. Then they became the parents for Got7 2014 debut. Then they released an album again in Sept 2017. So good. They wrote and composed all the songs on the album. They have a MV Tomorrow Today.

Tbh Got7 definitely be the most experienced artist on stage,they are very comfortable on the stage or concert with singing live and they can manage it very well since JYP push them to do numerous concerts and world tours. I means comparing other groups, they have the most concerts like they did 3 world tours and many concerts apart from world tour in foreign country. They are really experienced and professional.

JB is One of the BEST Vocalist in Kpop. His voice literally the Storyteller. He so chic and sexy! - Bambam’s hilarious and cute personality so loveable. - YG’s such a dancing machine. (YG literally the best dancer in the group. That’s why YG is the main dancer and Jackson is the lead dancer) - JinYoung such a good singer and actor too. He is lowkey but very catchy. So about the lightstick, its a green bird. Green is our fandoms color and the bird our logo. Our fandoms name is igot7, in korean it kinda sounds like Ahgase, which means babybird. The boys usually use ahgase when they refer to us. That's how we got out birdshaped lightstick. It even has its own name: ahgabong😂

The spinning top and 7 for 7 albuma are great to check out to see their individual music capabilities when it comes to writing and producing. Jus2 is also a great subunit to check out. Their Focus album is amazing and it also shows their music capabilities as well because the tracks were written and produced by Jb and Yugyeom. JJ Project's album, Verse 2, is a classic and the songs were also written and produced by JB and Jinyoung. I'm relatively new to the fandom and I could not believe that the JB in Got7 is the same JB in Jus2, JJ Project and on his soundcloud. It's crazy how versatile he is as an artist and he's sooo comfortable and embodies each concept well.

JJProject Jin young and JB performance was Tomorrow Today and the duo had a comeback in July 2017. So they had been performing that song live since July and the kcon USA was exactly a month later 31st August 2017. Now their actual debut before got7 existed that MV is called Bounce, which is really different to Tomorrow Today(the performance you watched). Bounce is really upbeat and rock like and shows their young energetic selves. Tomorrow Today shows their grown up side and the worries they faced and uncertainty together of their future. They perform so well at dancing is because both JB & Jinyoung became JYPE Trainees through an audition they came separately didn't know each other and the competetion was initially meant to have 1 winner, however both did dancing so well both had passion for dancing. Jinyoung use to go to dancing club and JB did bboying in his spair time. They were so good that the judges were impressed and couldn't pick between the two to have 1 winner out of a thousand who auditions so they for the first time ever bent the rules and allowed two winners which was JB & Jinyoung and so they became trainees at the company until one day they were put together to debut as JJproject. They were popular as a duo they did dramas together too. But then JYPE was going bankrupt their company was going to fail so they decided to make a group to debut which then they told JJP to form with other members (got7). That's why they are called the parents of the group because they started off first and have a bond so much stronger than anyone else in the group. JB and Jy both say they are each other's soul mate as in friend soulmates and no one can question their friendship because it goes too deep.

Just so you know both Youngjae and Jb are the main vocalists of Got7 and they wrote that song 1:31am and I think they helped produce it too. Actually all of the members of Got7 have written songs for the group, but Jb has written the most. I'm pretty sure Jb got emotional because he was unable to perform that song at their first few concerts for the 'fly' tour due to a spine injury, so Youngjae had to perform it alone

The thing with JJ project is that you have the two most deep thinking members of got7 writing everything and the lyrics are so sad and happy, like nostalgic, and reflective. Once I read and saw the lyrics I loved it even more.

Aura was written and produced by Youngjae! His producer name is Ars. They were totally blindfolded. Apparently they were asked to do something like that on stage before but they said it would be too dangerous cause they really can't see. This was a more controlled environment so it was the perfect opportunity. You can see the behind the scenes in Dingo's channel! Dingo always produces some of the best and most original kpop content. JJ Project, aka JJP, debuted in 2012, two years before Got7, with the song Bounce, it's an amazing song but totally different from Tomorrow, Today, you should totally check it out. JJP was put on hiatus and JB and Jinyoung later debuted with Got7. In 2017 they were able to make a comeback as JJP with their album Verse 2, written and produced by both of them. It is such an amazing album, one of my top favorite albums not just in kpop but in general; it has more of an r&b vibe, and it truly is a reflection of JB and Jinyoung's personalities. They have such an incredible story together, they are often times called soulmates (JB even said so about Jinyoung, and let's not forget the iconic quote 'I think our gravestones will be next to each other.') That's one of the reasons the mirror concept suits them so well; they are alike in many ways, share many hobbies and likes, but they balance each other out. Thursday was written and produced by JB like you mentioned! Additionally, it was choreographed by Jinyoung and Yugyeom. Jinyoung said he wanted to create a simple choreography and was inspired by Yugyeom's dance moves and mannerisms while performing on stage. I think the song writing and producing opportunities differ a lot from label to label and even in the same label from group to group. I think in kpop generally, boy groups are allowed to release self-written/produced songs more often than girl groups. Then for Got7, for example, all the memebers have produced or written diferent songs, but very rarely they are tittle tracks. But like Efra said, they often are the fan favorites, like Teenager, Page, and Thursday, all produced by JB. Now on the other side, Day6 for example, only release songs written and composed by them. However, they are a band that plays instruments and does not dance. Since before their debut they were told that they would have to write their own songs. They even have said that the reason their debut kept getting pushed back was because they had to come up with a good song to debut with; this definitely paid off as all of their discography is incredible (you should definitely check it out!). All of them are involved in the process, but Young K is the main lyricist; he recently became the JYP artist with the most Komca (Korean copyright) credits with over 100 songs in less than 5 years. There is a lot of controversy over the correlation between songs written by the artists being promoted less by the company/ the songs written by JYP having the best promotions but that's a whole other conversation.
