She's underrated to no end. Her dedication to helping her captain as well as her sister is heartwarming, while her willingness to to get dangerous to protect their charges just seals it.

The only thing you forgot to bring up was Isane’s desire to chase after enemies despite her role to heal. She does this twice: First after Aizen in the Soul society arc, and then after Rudobon in Hueco Mundo. Interpret this how you will, but I think Isane desperately wants to prove herself in battle but is never given the chance. It’s even possible that Unahona shortened her leash because she got slapped by Ichigo. It must be frustrating for her, especially since all the other captains let their lieutenants basically kill themselves at the drop of a hat.

This is why I was hoping Kubo would make a series only focused on the Soul Society with the Arrancar and maybe the surviving Sternritter. And the series would focus on the Soul Reapers who didn't have that much focus on and and even show some more "Turn Back the Pendulum" moments aka the past. But alas no. Ugh...

Isane had a dream of Arabia Lamp "Soul" Society that ended in a fish cake.

In all honesty Isane is my #1 girl in Bleach, shame she wasn't used more often.

Very underrated especially it the "Best Bleach girls" department everyone either talking about Rangiku or Yoruichi or Rukia but no one talks about our beautiful tall angel Isane especially after that beach episode.

I could see her Zanpaktou freezing to look like a fan when activating further/actually use, like ice building between the 3 blades. She could dance with it or something to produce some snow or cold mist

Out of all the Lt. that got promoted to Captains. She was the one I was most surprised and happy for. She’s a great successor. Not saying the others didn’t deserve theirs. Also I’m now realizing the next generation has 3 ice user in the captain ranks. Kinda like those 3 equal to what Yamato did with fire. I like that!

How about the fact that ISANE was the one who informed EVERYONE of Aizen, Gin, and Tosen's betrayals? She may have been underused as a character but without Isane, the plot would never have moved forward.

I'd like Isane's zanpakuto to have a cryogenic type ability, where she can freeze the fallen and the dying in a state of suspended animation until they can be properly healed later

I remember this lieutenant as the first one that low-diffed by Ichigo’s punch

id imagine her Zanpaktou is like Byakuya or Rangiku in that it spreads a light snow around but that can infused with Kido/kaido/Hado to heal or damage respectfully. With her Bankai making the area of effect greater and being almost blizzard like. This could be scary given given how destructive some higher level Hado is, and that'd happen to anything touching her snow?

I've seen it suggested that Isane's power might be somehow related to anasthetic. I like that idea, maybe it can numb the body at varying strengths, anything from dulled pain to complete numbness, and it causes a cold and floaty sensation, as if you're floating on a frozen cloud

Unhana looks so bad ass so metal with that blood/acid dripping off her sword and that souless killer look in her eyes just an amazing character she even in the SS arc confronted aizen and even he didn't want a direct confrontation with her and she saw three his bullshit rite away wish we saw more of her

I ate a really good BLT sandwich with streaky bacon, iceberg lettuce, tomato slices, and rye bread. When making a BLT, make sure you cook the bacon till crisp for maximum flavor. Cut your tomatoes into big slices, cut your lettuce, and make sure you toast your bread until it's light brown. Then top it all together and there you go! Actually Masashi Kudo was the one designed the zanpakuto spirits. Kubo was originally meant to, but he wanted to see what Kudo would come up with. Kubo approved it all, and was likely based on Kubo's notes though.

I always found Isane's height to be her most beautiful trait about herself. I saw her tall height as a physical reflection of a strong & independent woman and that supports Retsu Unohana's decision of making Isane her successor. She and her sister got some justice and respect near the end but as a long-time admirer of Isane I wished she had gotten more screen time in the canon storyline. I personally believe her zanpakuto would be similar to the Hidden Mist Jutsu from Naruto were she would conjure a cold mist that cover and clouds a person's sight and sensing abilities. She could infuse her healing kido in the mist to allies and control not just the cold itself but also her enemies body temperature so they could freeze faster. Thanks Tekking for doing a video on the beautiful Isane Kotetsu. ❄

I like the idea of her sword being like a concealment cloud so she could stay hidden while she heals the wounded.

Can’t believe I’ve been watching this mans bleach reviews for about 9 years..

It makes sense that her sword is an ice type since you put ice on your body if your hurting or get burned. Or if you loose a finger your can preserve it in ice until you get to the hospital to attach it back.

The side blades are a weapon trap, if you've ever seen a katar, those sometimes have those prongs for catching an opponent's blade.

I always liked Isane, even if much wasn't done with her. Her design attracted me, even among the other lieutenants

I like the idea of a mist shield for her zanpakuto like a dome of aurora lights that can heal her allies in it. And I imagine her bankai extends the range and maybe makes the opponents weaker like muscle cramps. Plus I like the shikai looks like a sai, honestly makes me wish we saw more of isane

Small correction: Kirinji(from the Royal Guard) taught Unohana what she knows about Kaido, so presumably he was Captain of the 4th before she was, allowing her time to be Captain of the 11th until she encountered Zaraki a few hundred years (or whenever it happened) before canon. (Edit: Posted that literally like 30 seconds before he said basically exactly what I did lol, carry on XD)

Itegumo: Frozen Cloud= Mist -Mist is a form of cloud cover, so it's defensive -Sword's Tsuba is an 8-directional diagram that appears to be a snowflake, possibly a reference to it's freezing nature, possibly a reference to it's range: It spreads out Mist in all eight directions North, South, East, West, and their variants? -Isane is a healer, healing Mist? Isane's personality: Fearful, Healer, awkward, self-conscious: Is reliable but needs to be able to rely on others -Personality impacts on Zanpakuto's form -Mist (Frozen+Cloud=Mist) is a form of cover, harrying opponents, allowing for a quick gettaway or a sneak attack -Isane's personality shows that she needs assistance to be useful, does her Zanpakuto needs other's around it to be useful too? -Itegumo only creates mist that has either Detrimental or Helpful effects, it doesn't cause damage on it's own unless Isane swings it Itegumo is a purely defensive weapon that is best used when it's weilder (Isane) is fighting in a squad (Thanks for coming to my TED Talk)
