@GOTGames Song So Hee is hard to explain to the western world. She's practiced for decades. She's the premier South Korean folk singer. She sang the Korean folk songs for UNESCO World Heritage. She isn't crying. It's the folk style. I question if westerners can actually sing like this. I heard in a different era people would scrap the throat to help them sing this folk style. Song So Hee has sung like this since 8 years old. She's been a national treasure of Korea since she was like 12. She can sing for well over a minute without any obvious breathing. It's nuts. She is in a league unknown to the rest of the world.

She’s using traditional singing technique called “Chang bup “. That’s what she’s known for. This is the remake of BTS so more modern tone. Check out her other songs.

Her rendition was amazing, her idea to incorporate child chorus (when you associate it with the Sewol ferry tragety behind the lyrics) and her pansori background, made the song devastatingly beautiful as it should be. Make sure you don't miss her "Tearful Tumen River" rendition. She is one of the brightest Korean creative gems.

SONG SOHEE is such an incredible 'pansori' singer. She has been mixing and finding a balance between the traditional sound and the modern sound. I *HIGHLY* recommend her original song from a few months ago, it has a slight rock vibe to it, it will blow you away: • *"INFODEMICS"* by *SONG SOHEE*

I just discovered this version of Spring Day by Song So Hee… I love her and how she sang a sad song that penetrates more into your heart. I just noticed how they perfectly put even the background: 1. Started from winter to spring day with a white ribbon. 2. The water and the ribbon turn yellow (it might be a reference to the Sewol tragedy ) 3. The City of Korea? The ribbon turns to purple (borahae) 4. Stars/Galaxy (It reminds me of the Mikrokosmos MAMA 2019 performance) 5. Season change - Fall is at once symbolic of plenty, ripening, harvest, and abundance; and, at the same time, a symbol of decay, decline, old age, and even death. 6. The tree became white and full of stars. This hit differently because I believe she sang it in traditional Korean (Pansori) which brings out all the emotions. 🫰💜

slight slight slight correction....she's not a pansori singer. She's a gyeongi minyeo (a traditional folk singer from the Gyeongi region). There's a slight difference. She often says that she's not a pansori singer even though both techniques share very similar vocal techniques

If BTS' spring day sang the sadness of losing a friend, it sounds like she sang the sadness of her parents who lost their child. The yellow ribbon or yellow flowers on the stage, the sea background, and the lyrics changed to "My All, My World" sounded like the cry of a parent who lost a child in a Ferry Sewol tragedy, and my heart ached throughout the song.

*Day 153* of recommending the *Beyblade openings* . There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
