@@adnanassaf350 These are often very smart kids with well-to-do parents. And they are much better off getting educated and doing well in business or engineering rather than playing chess for a living.

@@captain_context9991 Especially when they realize that they likely won't be as good as they though or something like that. Generally players who think they have a good chance at that continue playing though, or do some combination of chess and other things. There aren't that many examples of kids who likely would have been top top players who completely dropped out for good. Generally their parents would pull them away before they reached such a high level at a young age, or else it makes it less likely later on. It takes such extreme effort to get where they are, which is why it makes it harder to quit when you get to a very high level at a young age, and your less likely to want to. Parents should understand this before they get their kids coaching and help them get to this level. It's more valuable for them to get involved in things other than chess for sure, but this needs to be understood before you get anywhere near the level of Faustino.

I'm from Argentina and I once went to a tournament to watch it. His calmness and ability to play is wonderful. In Argentina we are very excited for it to be one of the elite. What's crazy to me is that he's visibly having fun. Like, of course he gets nervous, but the little guy loves chess. He's also extremely charismatic and eloquent for a chess-obsessed 10-years old. I just hope he continues with this energy and keeps having fun
