Absolutely Adam 🙌 . They go above and beyond what's needed to ensure stability, sustainability, safety etc. I've visited many facilities and was truly impressed. Makes it hard to trust other formulas esp otc retinoids. I'll try them but at this point the crystal retinal is the one I trust most!

I adore Medik8! Their Press and Glow is one of the best exfoliating toners for helping with hyperpigmentation, and of course the Crystal Retinal formulas are gorgeous! 💗

I just bought the Crystal Retinal 3 and 6 just the other day cuz of your previous posts talking about it. So looking forward to trying out this brand! Would love it if you could do a video on niacinamide and irritation. I was able to use it for years and this past year reacted really poorly to it. Tried the Retinal thanks to you and I am having amazing results on my acne with the strength 3 :) I usually try to have a relatively affordable routine through Korean skincare, but I make an exception for this product because it's so good :)

Hi there. We very rarely use synthetic fragrance, instead, often choosing to use a blend of essential oils at tiny percentages to give a subtle aroma. If you’re looking for no scent at all, Hydr8 B5 and Clarity Peptides are both great options, and watch this space for more fragrance-free products coming up!

So happy to hear that I’m doing something right with my skincare journey - save for the bakuchiol peptides, these are all in my routine and I love them. Only one I’m unsure of is the clarity peptides - it’s my latest incorporation and I think it might be irritating my skin (particularly getting some redness on my cheeks) - is this possible?

Hey MJ! Unfortunately Press & Glow isn't available in the US but I'm getting my hands on it soon - sounds like a formula I'd love and honestly, I've yet to try something I don't like from Medik8.

Hi Renee, Great picks for this brand! I had a question actually, I have been thinking about it for a while, maybe you can help me with it. So, as everyone says, it's good to apply skincare 2x a day, am and pm. However, with working from home kind of situation, even 3-4 times is totally possible. So, that got me wondering that there are a lot of ingredients that are not compatible together, but how long does it actually take to absorb/convert? Let's say after applying something acidic, how many hours should pass before application of something with neutral pH, without compromised efficacy?

YES! It's next level! I think I went back to pure retinal because I generally prefer it to retinol and the r-retinoate combines the 2! It's exciting though and works!

Hi love! 💗 If you ever decide to use retinal, I would invest in this one because I have confidence in formula stability. I can't say the same for other retinal formulas and I don't want to end up wasting my money on unstable formulas!

I am so happy I got to try the C-Tetra serum and Crystal Retinal. I am now very curious about the Clarity Peptides! That ingredient list is speaking my language. Also, "anti-inflammaging" made me fall of my chair 😂😂😂 you're so creative with skincare words it blows my mind.

Can you use an oil after the retinol? Or is it moisturizing enough to use on its own? I have normal to dry skin.

Over last 12 months I have already used 5 bottles of the clarity peptides as it is the only product which saved me from maskne. I combined it with Paula choice azelaic acid and any good moisurizer in order to achieve great result.

Yes! Just got my first Medik8 product! (Retinaldehyde, I use it around my eyes, where I can't handle tretinoin.) It's going to last me a long time, so worth the money!

I was diagnosed with rosacea this year and had to go off tretinoin at my dermatologist’s recommendation because I was super inflamed and not tolerating it anymore. She said in a year or so we can consider trying again with a gentler retinoid and R-Retinoate is at the top of my list

Hey Kailey! Like all their Vitamin A formulas, the R-retinoate is exceptional.. especially the Intense which is powerful but without wrecking my face. I think I decided to stick to crystal retinal because I just prefer retinal in general and rather have a 100% retinal formula! Hope that helps!

I’d love to see some more anecdotes from ultra-sensitive-skinned folks on their experiences with the Medik8 VitA formulas :) I became intolerant of my tretinoin when my rosacea developed earlier this year and I hope that the R-Retinoate might be an option for me after a year of skin reset with the basics + Finacea 🤞🤞

The Medik8 Crystal Retinal 10 is recommended by a dermatologist I trust on skincare products, Dr Sam Ellis, but I will not pay over $100 for it. The Avene Retrinal is cheaper but now Naturium has the same strength as these 2 and it’s only $34 for 1.7 ounces so the Naturium is my new retinaldehyde for use on my neck where I can’t tolerate my prescription retinol, tretinoin 0.5%.

When you look at other Retinol skincare brands, say The Ordinary, you'll notice that no matter the strength, you're paying the same amount for the same product. Recently I've discovered that Medik8 charges more for the power for the same amount of only 30ml. Crystal Retinal 3 30ml £49. Crystal Retinal 6 30ml £66. Crystal Retinal 10 30ml £89. Crystal Retinal 20 30ml £99. I'm happy to pay good money for a good product, not just for a brand, and I enjoy using many of Medik8's skin care products, but this is just downright unethical and lacking in the integrity of any company if you're charging an incrementally higher price based on strength for the same amount of product.
