@@claudiofernando1678 What do Asian and Muslim people have to do with what the city looks like?😂 The city is still beautiful but in a different way, and sure a lot of it could have been kept the way it was. But the people who made it expand into the big city it is today were not the Asians and the Muslims who moved here. They are a part of Sweden just as much as anyone else. So go and take your racism somewhere else, because it does not belong in Gothenburg.

Very nice, I'll send a link to my parents, who lived in Gothenburg later on in the 40s and 50s. Interesting about the colorization - it looks lovely but there are a few "misses" in some colors (particularly the brick buildings at the top of Kungsportsavenyn by the Poseidon fountain, which are pale yellow and have a lot of oxidized copper - green - details that match the fountain) and something at Liseberg came out blue, when the amusement park has a very distinctive "Isabella pink" color. But thank you so much for doing this and posting it.

Also at 1:50, I'm pretty sure that statue isn't painted? Impressive of the AI to recognize it as a person, good guess but not quite on the mark! Sadly the colors are a bit excessively brown and sepia-toned. It's a problem I've had in my own ML restoration attempts too - maybe the AI recognizes the grain size or something, and gives it the closest to "period appropriate" color. Or it could be an artifact of just not committing to bold choices such as vibrant reds and greens, and just averaging things out to be careful.

Here I am, a Gothenburg citizen in Sweden, watching my city in the 1940's during WWII. Despite the negative influence and turmoil of the war, Sweden was a country that kept itself neutral from it. Still, the people of Gothenburg and Sweden got to see or hear about WWII going on in the world on the television or radio. You guys must've worked hard to get this colorization done. Beautiful work on coloring my hometown's past. Hats off to to guys. Great work! *Applause*

@@tgtg4247 bullshit!

Even I did not exist during this time here in Gothenburg but I feel kind of my hometown. Empathy and enthusiasm are in my mind. I originally come from AFGHANISTAN but now, unfortunately, our country is destroyed by some unwelcomed foreigners. You know what I'm talking about. 🙋🏻
