Жыл бұрынIndia's Best Overnight Train? We have done two overnight sleeper trains in India and one overnight bus. Our comments have been filled with recommendations for The Duronto Express. Unfortunately we couldn’t book first class tickets as it was sold out, so AC2 is what we had to settle for. Our honest opinion of the Duronto Express is that it is better than any overnight train / bus we have used in India. Its super fast and quite comfortable. We definitely picked the right choice to make the trip from Mumbai to Jaipur.

Just a few tips on types of trains, For long distance journeys 1000+ kms, - Rajdhani or Duronto Express. Durontos have lesser no of stops and mostly overnight. Meals included in both. (Bed tea, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner). - If both not available on the route, there will be other Express trains with just 2-3 hr longer durations. Avoid taking "Mail" trains, they would stop on nearly every single stop and have lowest traffic priority. For shorter distances, - AC Chair (CC) in Shatabdi Express, will provide meals/snacks. - CC in Vande Bharat, whereever it's available, fastest trains in India right now. Don't know about the meal part. - CC in Jan Shatabdi. Slightly slower than Shatabdi Express and no meals. - CC in Inter-City Express, yet slower but faster than other express trains. Some scenic routes also have trains with Vista Dome coaches, check for videos on YT, you'll know. Also, for meals, there are many food services which provide food from the local restaurants at different places. Just have to provide the PNR no, Train no, Coach and seat no. Each station has different food options. Just search "Online Food on Indian rail", you'll find plethora of them services.

Iam the train guy...there are different brands of trains in India..... There are local trains and intercity trains.... these are trains which you should board otherwise the experience is going to bad 1.Rajdhani Express (overnight long distances travels from country's capital to a states capital only ) 2.Satabdi(sitting class train only for day travel) 3.Duronto express (high priority given train for longer overnight distances) 4.Vande Bharat express (it's a new train only runs in specific stations) 5. Tejas express

Vande Bharat Express is Newest Train in India but it runs on like around 8-10 routes u guys can check if ur routes falls on those ❤️ Jaipur to Delhi u can check it out . Enjoy guys.

That Arif guy 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍 its always pleasure to have a riksha driver like that, i remember some of my riksha rides from long ago where the drivers were high spirited like that Arif guy. They always made my traveling to college very fun one. It was quite gutsy to travel such a long journey like that in train though.. i am more than impressed, but i hope you travel more comfortably. If there is a stain mark in pillow or bedsheet, you ask train coach attendant anytime to change it and give you fresh. No worry.

A small suggestion. If you even again take an overnight bus ride in the southern part, please check if KSRTC AIRAVAT class is available. They are super comfy, especially the semi-sleeper. I take them regularly and no complain from my side in last 10 yrs.

India's Best train's are luxury trains but they don't run regularly also they are specific important areas touristic train's but in regular trains VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS is latest train of India u can try it while going to Delhi from Jaipur guys ❤️

You guys should definitely try Vande Bharat Express and Tejas Express. You could have tried Tejas Express while traveling from Goa to Mumbai, however you missed it.😅

Hey, together you both look so cute 😍 If you want to see ancient india then come to Banaras (oldest city in the world ) in Uttar Pradesh. You can take train like #vandebharat shiv ganga express, from delhi to banaras (currently best and fastest train in india) 😊 And you can also come to pryagrag (one of the world largest pilgrimage held here from 6 jan---- 18 feb ,just 180km from banaras ) I hope that that you people will see my message and will make trip 😊 And I am very sure that it will be best waaw moment of your life after seeing these two places😊 Love you both😍 All the best😊

You guys did right thing by starting from south India and moving towards north India. Lot of foreign tourists make one mistake because they get cheaper flights to new delhi that they start from north india and move south.

Hey in case you missed it (big time) those Chair seats below the bunk can turn into beds, that's what they are for. You just had to ask someone to show you how you could make them into beds 😅😅

You should tried First Class in Duranto, Rajdhani etc in Indian Railways . It is equivalent to sleeper train you will find in Europe. You will get plenty of space, plenty of width for sitting and sleeping, better food and privacy

The newer train coaches (LHB) are more packed. where an old AC2 coach would have only 48 bearth the newer one's have 54 so the seats are a bit narrow.

So, I saw that you guys got side lower and upper seats. Next time when your travel agent books your ticket, please ask him to fill the choices as lower only. In that case you will be getting the lower seat and if the lower is not available then it will give the side lower. A tip- I mostly book ticket in advance and if the season is off then the 2nd AC gets automatically upgraded to AC first if seats are available there.
