Are guardian angels mentioned in the Bible? Where does the idea of guardian angels come from? Why would it even matter if a specific angel was assigned to protect us when God Himself is protecting us? Why is it comforting for some to believe they have a guardian angel?

Right. I know God does send his angels down to take charge over us but we have Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

@Steve. Angels fight in wars against demons that attack us spiritually. They also glorify and praise God. Raphael is a healing angel. There are different types of angels like seraphim and cherubim. All angels names end in el. El is an ancient word for God. So they are tightly connected to God in some way. Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, and many others.

Angels are part and parcel of the Kingdom. So if you have access to the kingdom by being sanctified by the Lord Jesus expect to see angels in your life from time to time. They are also here to serve us. But yes, the Father, the son our beloved Lord Jesus, and the sacred Holy Ghost, come first. Angels are our friends and co workers. But their loyalty is to God first too.

Idk about guardian angles ,but I like to think of angels as almost my cousin whom I'm very interested in as they probably are in me ,because if the same God who chose to create me created them and values them dearly as all his creations then I value them too and love anything that my God loves because I love him ,thats my point of view ,I love the idea of not only having brothers and sisters on earth through Christ, but angels as our friends who worship God as I do and every knee bowing before the Messiah and through that similarity us and angels relate under God for God for eternity,so I see angels as allies as fellow servants of God and that relationship under God is awesome to me

Yes to all that, however as Christians we are the authority on Earth under God of all things supernatural. So when do we say a hunch is or isn't the Holy Spirit. The key is to have such a great relationship with God that you constantly work on that you know the difference. Sometimes the Holy Spirit does speak to you through serendipity, if anything that's a key marker of his presence, but that doesn't mean the enemy can't do the same to those who aren't discerning.

Has anyone fell and felt someone was there. I have fallen and felt someone softening my fall. I had a man run up to my car at an intersection to tell me my sticker on my plate had expired. Before the light turned green, he was nowhere in sight. No person, no vehicle. How could he have seen a sticker so small and the date smaller still. I love mysteries

I asked for God to send an angel to watch over my then small son. The following night a light lit up over me and my son as I was getting him to sleep. Then I watched my son's eyes move from the door to the closet. I knew then an angel had come into the room. I was a bit scared yet comforted knowing God had answered my prayer. 🙏

Excellent.! In 1985 my girlfriend at the time had a tubule pregnancy which was a boy. In time, God told me in a dream to name him Elijah. I didn't learn about Elijah in the Bible till later on in life. Decades later the Lord allowed me to meet him in a heavenly realm, surrounded by baby blue clouds. Always kept saying to one another was how much we loved each other and how beautiful the other one was. But each time we said it it felt like the very first time saying it. And that was the end of that vision. Around the year 2010 the Lord blessed me with another dream this time I did not see anything I just heard the voice of God telling me that He was making my son my own personal guardian angel to protect me from those who would try to bring harm to me while I was her on earth. ( I can see we're this has taken place many of times so far Believe it or not.) God bless. ☝️🙏☝️

That's not biblical at all. If visions and dreams contradict the word/aren't spoken/alluded to in the word, then it's not God. It says fallen angels/demons can masquerade as angels of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14. Rebuke it in Jesus' name. Find solace in knowing your child is indeed with God, safe and happy.

when the Bible says, He will command His angels regarding us, to guard us IN ALL OUR WAYS, shouldn't that suggest a human being at least, has an angel that guards them always?

Guardian angels purpose is to guard our soul and help us to heaven and advance God’s kingdom. It isn’t to protect our physical bodies and send us money and things like that unless we are receiving those things to further God’s purpose. They also do deeds you glorify God and they praise and worship God.

I've wondered about guardian angels . Its confusing because many children are not protected and live through horrible situations and abuse. I've wondered why this happens to so many children if they all have angels watching out for them and protecting them. It doesn't add up and make sense. So now I want to know what Jesus was really saying. Many times people haver been confused about things that Jesus said.

You must accept Jesus as your savior in order to go to Heaven-and avoid Hell. It's the Only way to Heaven and Eternal Life: John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I’m the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 1: (How to be Saved) Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 2: (God's Power to Keep you Saved) John 10:28-30 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I think.the word prayer is often taken out of context in our society. I think many misuse the word. That being said I don't pray to a guardian angel but I am not above asking for help we needed.

You’re using the word “protect” to mean shield. That’s not what guardian angels do. They are there to be the human “voice of reason”, to remind of us what’s right and what’s wrong, to warn us of danger, among other tasks. They certainly aren’t going to stop a speeding bullet from flying through us or cushion our fall from a heresy height. God can absolutely do that all on His own. But He also likes to give his creations jobs to do. We all like to work, it makes us feel needed and part of the whole. How do you know the voice you hear is good or evil? That’s easy! If they ever put you in harm’s way, or don’t remind you that God does loves you, or even tells you exactly what sin (book and verse) you’ll be committing if you go forward with your plans, then you have a demon talking to you.

you guys are supposed to be some kind of Bible answer guys right but you can't answer if we have guardian Angels or not have you ever read Psalm 91 or Paul's account or Peter's account about angels? you guys evidently aren't very knowledgeable about guardian angels and that's sad because now I have to unscribe

Angels are messengers of God, but the Holy Spirit, who is God is the active force against all evil for true believers in Christ Jesus, as we are indwelled with the Holy Spirit. Angels are watching us to learn how we choose to be obedient and faithful to our Heavenly Father or to reject Him. We must not elevate Angels or give any glory to them as Jesus said we will be like them when we receive our eternal resurrected bodies, and in the book of Revelation, an angel corrected John for falling down in front of him. Jesus is everything we need, and it’s His Holy Spirit who does all things in our lives, not Angels. Praise Jesus. And resist the evil one who wants to elevate Angels and take the glory away from Jesus. Peace and Maranatha.

You have forgot to mention Psalm 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12: They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 16: With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Luke 4:10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee .Exodus23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Concerning angels I have two testimonies of my own to share. One happened years ago when my son was a small child. There were dark spirits or demonic spirits hanging around the home. They would appear out of nowhere usually at night. I suspected they were after my son who had special needs and was very sensitive to the spirit realm as I've always been. Anyway, I asked God to send an angel to protect and watch over my son. The following night as I was putting my son to sleep a reddish glow appeared over us. As we both stared up at it, I saw my son's eyes glance at the door onto the closet door. I sensed the angel had arrived. I was a bit scared but comforted knowing God had answered my prayer. 🙏 The second experience happened about a few months ago. I had done my usual prayer of requests in asking God's protection in sending angels to protect me and my loved ones. Later at an appointment as I was waiting for the elevator I was hit by a sudden sense of angels surrounding me. I could tell there were about a group of them and felt I was staring in the face of their leader. I could sense he was very tall. They got into the elevator along with me. I couldn't see them but could sense them. After I got out of the elevator I could no longer sense them. 😇

Creepy? Why is that creepy brother? God told us not to fear them: Matthew 10:26- Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. Those orbs are just familiar spirits people swear are different kind of spirits when they are actually something that should be avoided.

I mean seriously if you guys can't answer that it makes me wonder about your limited knowledge? you should read what Alan Nolan says from cornerstone ministries about angels he'll give you a history lesson that we do have guardian angels plus I already knew we had guardian angels and there's many scriptures to back it up I gave you one Psalm 91

I disagree with this commentary. God in His providence makes decisions for which He doesn't have to provide a reason to justify guardian angels. Angels who protect us abide under God's authority. The Holy Spirit is often referred to us as our paraclete; which means to walk with us. So does the Holy Spirit walk with you? I think your arguments are flawed.
