In one of my visitations to hell, Jesus showed me a person who was a Christian (Jesus said “he was a Christian like you”). But the guy unfortunately started sleeping around (he was planning on repenting later). He died middle aged and went to hell forever it was dark but Jesus lit up the area, he asked Jesus for another chance but unfortunately it was too late for him, Pretty said, Repent and ask Jesus to help you with your struggles (James 4:7)

I think Christ was pretty clear on the subject, especially in just this one powerful verse ,John 6: 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. So it’s life with out ending , obtained by believing in Christ Jesus for it “hath” is a present tense possession word. If it’s lost somehow then it was not eternal life was it.

@karibalis7983 I’m sorry but you are making salvation a journey depending on us. So if I’m born in Gods family I can easily be aborted ? I don’t think so. Being born into a family is forever, I’m forever my Parents child even if I am a wild child or a well behaved one, or leave the country. I don’t have to act a certain way to be my parents son, they were my life givers. Salvation is the same way, Jesus told Nicodemus in John ch.3, that you must be born again. Nicodemus didn’t understand what Christ meant about being reborn but it’s spiritually. Jesus never once said it depends on us to renew our spirit, nor did he say it’s up to you to continue to believe to secure it forever. Jesus is Crystal clear on how this life is obtained. The prodigal son left home and was still a son he wasn’t kicked out of the family he just made some not so smart choices. Jesus said it many times on how to be saved, “ born again”, but maybe you missed it read ; John 3:15+16, &36. John 6:47 is clear also about this life and who it comes from, and verse is written in present tense possession. Now if I have something today and it’s forever from Christ, how long is it for ? And is it up to me to see it through? The answer is no it’s a gift (Romans 6:23).

@@thereisnonegoodbutgodjohn363 Back slide is not in the Bible, and born again believers receive “everlasting life” not temporary life. So if I have it today “everlasting life” but not next month somehow then it was never everlasting to start with. John 3:36 & John 6:47 are both present tense possession verses’s. The grammar is addressing the believing ones, not everyone is a believing one as we all know. And salvation is a gift (Romans 6:23), and Romans 11:29 says God never revokes gifts.

OSAS IS FALSE DOCTRINE
@oncesavedalwayssaved240
@oncesavedalwayssaved240 2 жыл бұрын
*FALSE* The very idea of losing your salvation IS a works-based salvation. They’ll say, “you don’t have to do any works to get saved, but you’ll lose it if you don’t do the work.” You’re still working to get to Heaven at that point. They’ll say, “if you do something bad then God’s going to take it away from you” - basically what their saying is, you have to keep the commandments in order the STAY saved. In Galatians keeping the commandments is called the works of the law, and we’re not justified by the works of the law. We are justified by the faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by *faith* without the deeds of the law (Romans 3:28) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that *believeth* on me hath everlasting life (John 6:47) He didn’t say you HAD everlasting life, as if you had lost it. Or get everlasting life in the future. If I lost it, it didn’t last forever, it wasn’t everlasting. You can’t have everlasting life temporarily, that’s an oxymoron. And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, *Believe* on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31)

@@oncesavedalwayssaved240 So is "eternal fire" of Jude 1:7 an oxymoron as well? The law referenced by Paul in Romans 3:28 is the works of the Mosaic law which required works. It would appear that whatever does not proceed from faith is sin (Romans 14:23). Apparently, if one reads the bible, 1 Cor 5:1-5 describes a Christian in danger of losing his salvation which is the direct reason why Paul told the others to deliver this man to satan. And apparently, it is possible for a wandering Christian to be in danger of losing their salvation as well as indicated in James 5:20. I guess there is a difference between a Christian that sins and a Christian in rebellion.

Two people come to mind... King David and Ravi Zacharias... Both guilty of horrendous sin in their life, but I believe that both are in the presence of the Father, because of the doctrine of Eternal Security. We know that David repented... We don't know that about Zacharias, but I don't believe that is relevant... Very few Christians will enter Heaven, having repented of all their sins prior to their moment of death. I've heard the famous Calvinists pronounce their verdicts of condemnation upon him. Every Christian has an area of weakness that they may or may not overcome, prior to their death. For some it may be cigarettes, drinking, sex, gambling, etc.. We do not lose our Old Sin Nature at the Cross. I do believe that we are convicted of our sin, but may or may not be victorious over it. But we are redeemed eternally, or it means nothing...

@@germaan1 OSAS stands for "once saved always saved". People who hold onto this view - view salvation as a transaction that only needs to take place for a few seconds at one time in one's life and then no matter what someone does, they are saved no matter what. One doesn't have to read very far in the bible to see the incoherence of this approach to salvation. Salvation is faith in Jesus Christ in obedience to him. Salvation is a daily putting to rest the works of the flesh and saying yes to Godliness and holiness. Salvation is trusting in Jesus daily - in Jesus who is the only one who conquered the flesh and if we put our trust in him, we can overcome the flesh as well.

They believe in Romans 10:9 that says confess with thy mouth and Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. My friends says only believe this and live how you want to because this verse says only believe. My friends says Romans 10:9 didn't say to change your lifestyle. I told my friends that what most people get wrong only quoting one verse and not reading the whole bible. I tell them please read Revelation 1:1 that says God gave unto him (Jesus Christ) this revelation. God told the churches to repent of theirs sins and come back to your first love. God also told believers in one of the churches that I will blot out your name out of the book of life. That scare me alot. The only way to be blot out you had to be in Christ. This subject is hard.

I think a good point to start would be to define or determine what genuine faith is and how do you know when you have it? Jesus' first sermon is to "Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand". Faith is a verb. When we placed our trust in Christ, he granted us a new heart and a new mind. We shall know them by their fruits. There where sin increases the grace of God increases much more. Does this mean that we can now sin more so that God's grace may increase? No! We are new creatures in Christ Jesus. We who once desired unrighteousness now desire righteousness. So, I would question the validity or genuinnes of someone's profession of faith if their lifestyle testifies contrary to the Christian faith. We as believers do sin yes, this is a lifelong struggle against sin and the old nature until our bodies someday will be redeemed and glorified yet we do not profess Christ but continue to habitually live in sin. If that's the case, then have you truly been saved? If you have, then you'd of had a new heart and a new spirit that wants to do what is right according to Christ.

In the first four minutes I sense you're going about this all wrong. The question is not whether God would unadopt us, it's a question of whether or not we would run away from home, so to speak. The statement that God is able to keep us is true, but that only talks about God's ability, it's not a promise that we will stay kept. It doesn't mean we will want to stay kept. 4:03 Those he called he also justified ... but Matthew 22:14 says many are called, but few are chosen. 6:23 Romans 8:38-39 "nor anything else" ... this verse says that other entities will not keep us from his love BUT it does not preclude us from walking away. I don't agree with OSAS, but I don't believe in a works-based salvation. What I am required to do is initially believe ... and continue believing. That is not a trivial task (John 6:29) 14:58 You can live however you want and you'll still be saved BUT the "True Christian" won't. THINK ABOUT THAT. What you just said is that "True Christians" will live one way and be saved, so what label should we apply to the group that lives however they want and be saved also? It's a false dichotomy. Are you talking about a works-based righteoueness. The ones who live a bit better lives get the label "True Christian"? You need to stop saying "True Christian" because you're implying two classes of Christians. Of course nobody is going to TEACH that you can live however you want, but you know lots of people will come to that conclusion. 16:12 Which sins cause you to lose your salvation? Again apart from the unpardonable sin, no one sin causes you to lose your salvation. However a pattern of continual sin can cause you to turn from God, and the Bible warns about this in many places (Heb. 6:4-6, 2 Peter 2, many more) 19:06 Whoever believes will have eternal life. The word believes is greek present tense - not aorist (believed at a point in time in the past). Whoever goes on believing will have eternal life (look up the verses online in the interlinear Bible). As long as you continue believing, you will have eternal life. But if you believed today but "mess up bigtime" ten days later - well if you have stopped believing I don't think any of this applies anymore. We experience some eternal life now but we are still awaiting Jesus to bring salvation with him (heb. 9:28). Again it's not God kicking you out, it's you leaving. Eternal life awaits the one who perseveres to the end. 20:40 This guy (Jeff) hit the nail on the head. Why are they so many warnings from God that are just empty threats if OSAS is one and done? 23:14 I don't see what the problem is? Salvation is of the Lord. It happens through Him. If you don't want it, He's not going to force it on you. He did the work, we still have a choice to make. 24:20 "I never knew you" Fair enough but Hebrews 6:4-6 and 2 Peter 2:20 show examples of people who were believers who apostatized and got entangled AGAIN. 27:37 They [antichrists] went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. This merely says that people who are not born again left, I don't see it as a guarantee everyone will persevere. 28:34 Yes really. You wouldn't snatch yourself out of God's hand, you would just walk away. The idea of snatching makes no sense talking about the person themselves. Like Romans 8:38-39 this verse explains outside influences can't keep you from God, but you can.

Any one who goes ahead *and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God;* he who abides in the doctrine has both the Father and the Son. If any one comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into the house or give him any greeting; for he who greets him shares his wicked work. (2 John 9-11) *you say* ALL of the scripture you quote above is part of the old covenant and not the Gospel of Paul to the Gentiles. *Response* How evil is the work of someone who would deny Christ? Trying to suggest his teaching is unnecessary. but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. (Matt 10:33) Your statement is pretty silly as It was you who quoted John 10:28, I just gave it the context of John 10:27. For when one says, “I belong to Paul,” and another, “I belong to Apol′los,” are you not merely men? What then is Apol′los? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. (1 Cor St Pauls Gospel is Christ, I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and turning to a different gospel-not that there is another gospel, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed (Gal 1:8-9) The is not a different Gospel for Jews and Gentiles. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3:28) *You say* Most so called believers arent because they mix faith and works when Christ told Paul in Eph 2:8-9 by grace we are saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, its the GIFT of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Works DIRECTLY implies the GIFT can be taken away. *Response* There is no doubt God Grace saves us, his forgiveness of our sin. The price of sin is death and that has been paid for by Jesus Christ for the whole world. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 6:23) and he is the expiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2) Yet the whole world is not saved for to receive Gods Grace we must have faith in Jesus Christ. This is not the dead faith of faith alone, of simply believing Christ died for our sins was buried and rose again on the third day. Faith in Jesus Christ is trusting the Son of God to keep his promises particularly to give the gift of eternal life made possible by his death burial and resurrection to those who repent and obey him. Although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered; and being made perfect he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, (Heb 5:8-9) St Paul tells us that faith must uphold the Law Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. (Rom 3:31) He will go on to tell us this is the Law of Christ not the Law of Moses and that anyone thinking they have eternal life without keeping Christ’s Law walking in the Spirit and doing good works is mocking God Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart. (Gal 6:7-9) *You say* Learn to rightly divide Scripture after you actually believe the Gospel. Seems clear that you dont. *response* No what seems clear is you are choosing a Lord other than Jesus Christ and are headed for ruin. “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Every one who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But he who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” (Luke 6:46-49) I suggest you read the bible but expect sadly that you will run away and pretend these verses do not exist. God in his perfect love and goodness made a perfect sacrifice to save all of mankind and adopting us as his children, however just as children how are adopted often run away from their new homes so to do many of God's children run away from him. This in no way reduces the perfection of God's sacrifice. God has made the perfect sacrifice and offered it to us as a gift (the gift of salvation), it is on us to accept it or reject it. God will never force us to be with him that is the nature of the free will he gave us, if we chose to accept Christ and then later reject him, God will not say it's to late you have to stay with me, he will let us leave. I believe that Jesus showed this in Romans 1:17-24: 17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree. The cultivated branched are those who are with God (Saved) and the wild branches are those who are not. So Jesus is saying that those who are not saved can become saved but not to become proud because just as those that where previously saved where removed so too can we be removed. But that not all hope is lost because we can always be grafted back in and return to God and his gift of salvation.

First we need to answer the question "How do you gain salvation": If your answer is 1. By the Mercy and Grace of God it is a gift and not of our own works. And then you say you can lose salvation you imply that your works can affect salvation to begin with and that makes it a works based salvation there fore it completely and utterly destroys the point of salvation being a gift and salvation not depending on your works. If your answer is 2. Works based salvation by keeping the law then you contradict the whole bible and claim that the Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross was not finished as he claim "it is finished/done" and you assume that you can merit salvation which is impossible to do so in the first place. There's no workarounds, you're either saved by the Grace of God through faith alone and you become a new creation in Jesus Christ or you're alone without Christ trying to merit salvation by your own works which you have already failed to do so and thats the point of you needing Jesus Christ as your savior.

Kevin contradicted himself by being correct (OSAS is false) in referring to Romans 8:38-39 by adding "We are eternally secure if we are in Christ" at tt 0708. God would never take back this gift however he will also not force us to take it, he leaves that diction to us.

Christ be with you Sorry you must read scripture Works of the Law is not keeping the commandments Works of the Law is circumcision, animal sacrifice, cleansing rituals. dietary requirements and holy day observance Straight after speaking of works of the Law (rom 3:28) St Paul lets us know he is not speaking of the Law itself. Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. (rom 3:31) To respond to John 6:47 we must turn to what Jesus says those who believe in him will do. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father. (John 14:12) those who Have everlasting life must have Christ. And this is the testimony, *that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.* (1 John 5:11) And to have Christ we must abide in his teaching and commandments. *Any one who goes ahead and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God;* he who abides in the doctrine has both the Father and the Son. If any one comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into the house or give him any greeting; for he who greets him shares his wicked work. (2 John 9-11) In Acts 16:30-34 we see that it is only once they had heard the word of God and were baptised that the could rejoice that they believed, for they had obeyed his teaching Believing is hearing Gods word and doing it. and brought them out and said, “Men, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their wounds, and he was baptized at once, with all his family. @@minecraftfan2580 Christ be with you. *You say* "Works-based salvation" is a damnable heresy according to the Bible. *Response* Why do you ignore the scripture I provided that tells us that works are required for salvation. No one thinks we not require God’s Grace for the forgiveness of our sin but no one will be damned for obeying Jesus. Although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered; and being made perfect he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, (Heb 5:8-9) Stop it with this nonsense You say This is what Jesus says in Matthew 7:21-23: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." The will of the Father is to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. That's what needs to be done to achieve salvation in the first place. *Response* It is not that they did works that condemned them but that they turned to sin, to iniquity. If you read John 3:16-21 you will see we are not condemned because we are in darkness and sin but those who believe turn to the light and do works of God. Jesus is telling us in Matt 7:21-23 that we must not return to sin. He will go on in Matt 7:24-27 to tell us that we must do what he teaches or face ruin and destruction. *You say* There are many Christians who will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire because they foolishly and stupidly believe they can earn their way into heaven, but when their names are not found in the Book of Life during the Great White Throne Judgment, they will use their good works as an excuse as to why they should enter Heaven, but Jesus will tell them that he never knew them. *response* The will on the father is that we listen to his Son. He tell us this word for word. He was still speaking, when lo, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” Please look at Rev 3:1-6 you will see it is those who defile the garment of righteousness that Christ cleansed with his blood with sin, with poor works, that will not appear in the book of life for they will be blotted out. *You say* Also, I want to tell you how stupid the "works-based salvation" argument is and how it goes against common sense. Let's really think about what Jesus wouldn't have done if people can go to heaven based on good works: He would never have been born in the manger at Bethlehem because we would have no need for a Saviour. 2. He would never have died on the cross to save us from sin because we would have no need for a Saviour. 3. He would never have risen from the grave because he would never have died in the first place, and because we would have no need for a Saviour. *response* This is ridiculous Jesus died and rose again so our sins could be forgiven. Our obedience, our works are not how we are saved, the are how we remain in God’s Grace so we will receive eternal life. *You say* If people can earn their way into heaven, then everything that Jesus did while here on Earth would be a massive waste of time. It'd be completely meaningless. However, Jesus did these things for a reason: to save us sinners from eternity in the Lake of Fire, where Hell will be thrown into at the end of time. Do you know how horrific the Lake of Fire is? It's a place of wailing, gnashing of teeth, neverending torment, burning forever in agonizing pain with no rest day or night, and outer darkness. It's called "the Lake of Fire and Brimstone," meaning that it's filled with burning, molten sulfur with blue flames spurting out, and blue flames are hotter than yellow or red ones. We cannot find our own way to Heaven. We need to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is God, that he died on the cross for our sins, has risen on the third day, and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour before we die, because after we die, it will be too late. *Response* I feel sorry for you . You believe in a dead faith. Scripture tells us that unless you obey the commandments of Jesus Christ you do not know Jesus Christ. True faith in Jesus Christ is trusting the Son of God to keep his promises particularly giving the gift of eternal life, made possible by his death burial and resurrection to those who repent and obey him. You seem to not realize your Gospel must contain the teaching and commandments of Jesus Christ to have God. Any one who goes ahead and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God; he who abides in the doctrine has both the Father and the Son. If any one comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into the house or give him any greeting; for he who greets him shares his wicked work. Those who think that they can continue in sin, and expect grace to abound are the fools, believing in once saved always saved! Once anyone is IN Christ, he has become a new Creature- by faith until the redemption of the purchased possession, IF they continue to ABIDE in the fold. Those in Him have His seed in them and cannot sin. 1 John 3.They are still in the world, but not of the world, and are always kept by the power in the name and the blood of Jesus Christ John 17. If they continue to ABIDE in the fold John 10:28-30. But, if they're enticed to come out of their protection by any outside influence- either others or personal inordinate desires James 1:14-15; that they cannot die to or resist, they're trapped in the snare of the devil, like a sheep that strayed from following his Shepherd because he saw something that looked like a green pasture, and was deceived into thinking he knew better. He soon realizes his mistake as he is caught in the snare- which his Shepherd knew about, and decided to take a safer route. The Shepherd is not the fool, as you implied, but the sheep who couldn't see beyond his nose, and thinks he could do better without the leadership and guidance of the Shepherd. In this case, they refuse to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, specifically given to all who believe, and go their own way because they believe that ad long as they belonged to the fold, they can be their own leaders, do their own thing and just shake their tails to return into the fold? The devil is always looking for them to derail and leave the fold. If they're "lucky " (they need luck outside the fold ", the Shepherd will hear them bleating, leave the 99, seek them out, find them trapped, take the trouble to pry them out of the snare and bring them back to the fold, on His shoulders! But they're still hurt and scarred for life!Unfortunately, that is not so for the Church. This is only for Israel, John 4:22, is now in the snare of the devil and God will return Jesus Christ in the 2nd coming for them, and restore them into the kingdom, the kingdom that they had missed. That was why Jesus Christ preached the gospel of the kingdom to Israel only acts 1:6; Luke 17:20-25 (talking about Himself: Emmanuel, He is now Jesus, who saves.). The gospel of grace is for all Believers - both Jews and Gentiles 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:8... Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision or the Jews Romans 15:8; Matthew 15:24; Matthew 10:5. He had to go to the cross in order to include everyone else. John 12:32. Therefore, if anyone who is now in Christ, fails to remain sealed into Him by the down-payment of his salvation, Ephesians 1:13-14, and breaks the hedge, then serpent will certainly bite- it is written Ecclesiastes 10:8, and there's no other way to come back into the fold- forever, and all their sins and the wages must be fulfilled: unless Jesus Christ comes and dies and rises again for them! Hebrews chapters 6 and 10. Study these to make yourself approved unto GOD, and not man! No more sacrifice for sins... Hebrews 10:26-31!!! I didn't write the scriptures. If you think you're a believer, you must then believe in them to be a true believer else, you're just fooling yourself! God is never mocked! I blame those pastors who preach Malachi instead of the Truth of the GOSPEL Philippians 1:5,27, of salvation by GRACE, through FAITH in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8; 1 John 3. They will all give account on that day!!!

In the Bible the Christian is repeatedly given assurances by Jesus and the apostles that your Salvation is a very protected state of being. That God will always try to persuade a Christian to shun all sinfulness, as we agreed in our heart to do when we received Rebirth. And that no entity or circumstance outside of yourself can steal away from the Reborn Christian that gift of future Salvation from the punishment of sin. Nothing outside of yourself can remove your name that has been written in Heaven's Book of Life. Nothing outside of yourself can end your Heaven-bound status or your relationship with God / Jesus. However, the Bible also repeatedly gives warning that the Christian who chooses to live in sin, including a turning away from Christ, will not be allowed entry into Heaven. There is debate about whether every person having experienced the Christian Rebirth is assured entry into Heaven (upon death or Rapture) unconditionally or conditionally, but there really should not be confusion about this. False doctrine is formed (Once-Saved-Always-Saved) when one focuses only on the many passages where the Believer is given assurances that God protects or seals our Heaven-bound status and adds to them the theory that even we ourselves cannot change our Salvation status. But an honest reading of the Bible clarifies that the individual Reborn person definitely does have the ability and responsibility to live without sin through a lifestyle of repentance, thereby remaining in Christ. And that this effort must continue until our death (or Rapture) for Salvation to occur (or be fulfilled). That we as individuals have the ability and authority to walk away from, or through embracing sin jeopardize, our Salvation status and corresponding special relationship with God. Foolish as that would be, and hopefully rarely occurring. Salvation is indeed by grace alone, through faith, but it is not kept by faith alone. It is kept (we remain in Christ to the end of our earthly life) by faith and obedience - living a repentant lifestyle, shunning every sin. God's Salvation is not just the avoiding of punishment for sin, it's also the gaining of victory over all sinning. I think this is an important doctrine to understand because the false doctrine of Once-Saved-Always-Saved has tragically become the dominating teaching and belief in America, and its affect on Reborn Christians is obvious. Its message is that repenting of one or two sins that are very difficult to overcome is an option for you, that God doesn't want you to go through any "struggle", that God will not condemn you to Hell for sinful living. You're too special. This false teaching has naturally resulted in a church body that looks and acts like the world. With Christians indulging in every kind of vice like the world, ending their marriages like the world, even committing suicide like the world. All the while telling themself and being told that nothing they do can possibly prevent their entry into Heaven (even though God promises that living in sin, Reborn Christians as well, does prevent entry into his Heaven). They tell themself that as long as they have faith that they are going to Heaven, they will go to Heaven. That's superstition. It's like having faith that thin ice will keep you above the deadly cold lake water. But the failure of faith-alone in the ice or in this belief is only realized after it's too late. After the ice breaks, after they see they are not going to Heaven. That they had made sin their master rather than God and actually had become ex-Christians, their names no longer in the Book of Life. These misguided brethren insist that a Christian's name can not possibly be removed from the Book of Life, even though Revelation 3 describes the Reborn Christians making up the church of Sardis being warned by Jesus that if they didn't repent of their sin he would remove their name from the Book of Life. I want add that a quote OSAS adherents love to use as supportive to their theory is 1 Corinthians 3:12-15. They say this passage is describing the Christian's only possible punishment being a lessening of reward in Heaven. (Because they know there has to be punishment for sinful rebellion). They say the passage is about the good works a Reborn person does during their earthly life. That "bad" works will be unrewardable and therefore not follow them into Heaven but that their rewardable works will. This misinterpretation occurs because they are not reading the passage in context. It must be read from verse one. The passage is about the works of spiritual teaching taught by persons who add to Paul's or other apostles' foundational teachings to the church at Corinth. It is not good (or Godly) works of the Christian person. One who teaches things that were not edifying or helpful or accurate will still enter Heaven but they will not receive any reward for poor teaching. But they will receive reward for their good works of teaching edifying, true things.

Christ be with you you are right And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. “‘I know your works; you have the name of being alive, and you are dead. Awake, and strengthen what remains and is on the point of death, for I have not found your works perfect in the sight of my God. Remember then what you received and heard; keep that, and repent. If you will not awake, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you. Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. Once saved, always saved? “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. Every branch IN ME that does not produce fruit MY FATHER REMOVES, and he prunes every branch that does produce fruit so that it will produce more fruit. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. REMAIN in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you UNLESS YOU REMAIN IN ME. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me. IF ANYONE DOES NOT REMAIN in me, he is THROWN OUT like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jesus in John 15) WHOEVER SINS AGAINST ME, HIS NAME WILL I BLOT OUT OF MY BOOK. (Exodus 32:33) The one who is VICTORIOUS will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of THAT person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. (Revelation 3:5) Therefore, remember from what high state you have fallen and repent! Do the deeds you did at the first; if not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place--that is, if you do not repent. (Revelation 2:5) Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.... (Philippians 2:12) After Jesus had finished his work, he became the source of eternal salvation for everyone WHO OBEYS HIM. (Hebrews 5:9) “I am the real vine, and my Father is the gardener. He breaks off every branch in me that does not bear fruit....Those who do not remain in me are thrown out like a branch and dry up; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, where they are burned. (John 15:2, 6) False prophets were among God's people [in the past], as false teachers will be among you....People can know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and escape the world's filth. But if they get involved in this filth again and give in to it, they are WORSE off than they were before. It would have been better for them never to have known the way of life that God approves of than to know it and turn their backs on the holy life God told them to live. These proverbs have come true for them: "A dog goes back to its vomit," and "A sow that has been washed goes back to roll around in the mud." (2 Peter 2:1, 20-22) But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to HOLINESS AND RESULT in eternal life. (Romans 6:22) So the Christ also, having been once offered in sacrifice in order that He might bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, separated from sin, to those who are eagerly expecting Him, to make their salvation COMPLETE. (Hebrews 9:28) If you love others, you will never do them wrong; to love, then, is to obey the whole Law. You must do this, because you know that the time has come for you to wake up from your sleep. For the moment WHEN WE WILL BE SAVED IS CLOSER NOW THAN IT WAS WHEN WE FIRST BELIEVED. (Romans 13:10-11) But the ONE WHO ENDURES TO THE END WILL BE SAVED. (Jesus in Matthew 10:22; 24:13, and Mark 13:13) But if you do not have them (the qualities of Christ), you are so shortsighted that you cannot see and have forgotten that you have been purified from your PAST sins. So then, my friends, try even harder to make God's call and his choice of you a permanent experience; IF you do so, you will not fall. (2 Peter 2:9-10) We are NEVER FORGIVEN OF FUTURE SINS before we commit them! What lies false teachers teach! The doctrine of unconditional eternal security ("once saved, always saved") is nothing more than a repeat of Satan's oldest lie: "If you (sin), you shall not surely die." It is, in fact, probably the most damnable false teaching embraced by some "Christians" today. WITHOUT HOLINESS, NO ONE SHALL SEE THE LORD. (Hebrews 12:14) Sin can never enter heaven. How foolish and evil is a notion that one can arrogantly claim the right to heaven by merely "setting foot" on the way. You have to FOLLOW the One who is the Way all the way to the end, obeying his words faithfully, in order to RECEIVE THE FINAL SALVATION WHICH JESUS BRINGS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL when he returns on the last day of resurrection and judgment for ALL of us. There are not two judgments, but only ONE. The notion of a separate judgment for believers is nonsense and a lie. The wicked are removed from among the righteous at his coming and both the "goats" and the "sheep" are judged before Him who is the Judge, the day of salvation having ended at his one and only return. Those declared righteous in Christ will not be condemned but will be taken up to forevermore reign with Christ in the kingdom of the Father.

The short answer to your question then is simply YOU ARE NOT. "YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN."

@@paulinmiami7671 Yes those who are sealed with the Holy Spirit are saints, but that may be it is because all of our future sins have been forgiven. Before God we are saints because he sees through all time and our sins are no more, but in men's eyes we have yet to commit sins which we are going to commit before we are completely saved from sin. We will still sin till the day our flesh dies and we are given also a new flesh as we were given a new spirit. Only our spirit has been born again so far and our flesh must be born again as a glorified flesh too before we enter heaven.

@@user-fg6mq3dg3d I noticed that you have no scriptures for what you are saying, and rather, you are completely ignoring all the scriptures that I have already posted which contradict what you have been taught. Of course, we are not forgiven for future sins before they have even been committed. The medieval Roman Catholics sold indulgences based on that pretense and that false teaching. Jesus said the opposite, speaking to those who believed on him, such as in the parable of the forgiven servant. Jesus said that if we do not forgive others who sin against us and then ask for our forgiveness, neither will the heavenly Father forgive our sins, including any sins that might lie in our future. Give a careful reading to 1st John 3, to Romans 6, to John 8, etc. In my original comment here, I have already posted the scripture from Peter about those who have forgotten that they have been cleansed from their PAST SINS.

U can lose ur salvation, OSAS is a false teaching. U can be cast out, cut off, taken out of the book of life, salt can lose it's flavor. Those are all verses in the bible. Also, read romans 11:20-23. Also, Jesus said, if u don't forgive others then Jess won't forgive you. And wether u are a believer or not, we all have free will and it's possible for anybody to live in unforgivness. Therefore u can lose your salvation. A real christain follows Jesus, but they can turn away. Disciples stopped following Jesus, we all have free will and were not robots n God won't take away our free will, and etc. U can clearly be saved and then become unsaved. Let's get away from this false teaching

@snonegoodbutgodjohn363 Your argument is completely flawed. Free Will is not taken away from a Christian after he is born again. You can still choose to sin. That's what falling away is. Adam and Eve were perfect with free will in the Garden of Eden and that Tree of Knowledge was within their reach and their choice lead to consequences even though they were Saved by Default (From Creation).

Christ be with you did any one notice there are no bible verses that support once saved always saved given. These men seem either not know or simply ignore that to be "in Christ" we must keep his commandments, In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. *He who has my commandments and keeps them,* he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” *Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.* He who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. (John 14:20-24) It is only when we abide in him do we have eternal life and this life is Jesus Christ. *And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.* So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh- *for if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.* (rom 8:12-13) Rom 8 does not teach OSAS it tells us that to be Children of God we must walk in the Spirit and not in the Flesh and as we see we are told the consequences of that. @@MrKev1664 We can find out the truth by analyzing the people in the Bible John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. (Early on in Jesus’ ministry, Jesus knows Judas didn’t believe.) Judas is literally the ONLY example of a false prophet turning against Jesus in the Bible, and yet the Bible says he never believed. It lines up perfectly with 1 John 2: 1 John 2:18-19 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. Who is more anti Christ than Judas who betrayed Christ? The truth is of anyone “stops believing,” it’s just them showing they never believed. Matthew 7 (literally about false prophets) 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the WILL OF MY FATHER which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity Once you are the child of God, God will know you forever. You can never become the child of the devil after that. And what is the will of the Father? (In caps above) 39 And this is the Father's WILL which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should LOSE NOTHING, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I WILL raise him up at the last day. This is the will that you must believe, and many people did not believe (including Judas) 41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. … 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. “Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.” - Will not happen to those who believe Nobody believed and is dead (Hell is called death). You will never perish once you believe John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall NEVER perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 6 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. Sound like you live forever once come to/believe on the father John 6 (notice how many of these are John 6, I am showing you the context) 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall NEVER hunger; and he that believeth on me shall NEVER thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. You eat the bread by believing. Jesus Christ’s sacrifice of his body breaking is sufficient to pay for all of your sins and give you everlasting life. Eating/drinking is a one time thing, so it’s compared to believing. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be SAVED, and shall go IN AND OUT, and find pasture. It’s a one way door, you cannot leave eternal life. You do not enter this door when you die, you enter this door when you believe. If any bodies going to Hell it’s because they never believed. Nicodemus didn’t understand this because he was never born again. Additionally, you bring up John 5: 28 but neglect to address what was said right before that in John 5:24: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

@@zaxonite2991 Christ be with you Part 1 *You say* We can find out the truth by analyzing the people in the Bible *response* You seem to do the regular thing protestants do. You say you are analysing the bible, yet you ignore completely all but one verse you are given. That’s just pretending to analyse it The bible doesn’t contradict so the honest Christian will answer everything he has been given. *You quote* John 6:63 Then say For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. (Early on in Jesus’ ministry, Jesus knows Judas didn’t believe.) Judas is literally the ONLY example of a false prophet turning against Jesus in the Bible, and yet the Bible says he never believed. *response* I am not sure what point are trying to make here. Jesus tells us there will be believers who fall away And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. (Luke 8:13) *You then say* It lines up perfectly with 1 John 2: 1 John 2:18-19 *Then say* Who is more anti Christ than Judas who betrayed Christ? The truth is of anyone “stops believing,” it’s just them showing they never believed. *response* Yes, for if you do not believe at the end you may as well never have believed. My question would be to you is how do you know you believe? A second question is what do you believe? *You say* Matthew 7:21-23 (literally about false prophets) *Response* You stopped reading to early. This is about people who once believed for scripture tells us that only believers can drive out demons in Jesus name. (Acts 19:14-16) Yet the stopped believing, turn to iniquity, to sin, stopped doing as Christ told them. (Matt7:24-27) *You say* Once you are the child of God, God will know you forever. You can never become the child of the devil after that. *Response* It is not until the end we truly know we are Children of God though we have received th first fruit of the Spirit, forgiveness of sin though baptism we must wait in hope. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God; for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now; and not only the creation, *but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.* For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. (Rom 8:19-25) Yet St John tells us who the Children of God will be. By this it may be seen who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not do right is not of God, nor he who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:10) *You say* And what is the will of the Father? (In caps above) And then quote John 6:39-41 John 6:47-51 *Response* It always amazes me when protestant quote John 6 then immediately do not believe what Jesus says. I notice you left out what they must do to show there believe So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. ( The will of the Father is not always fulfilled. We can see that many of disciple drawn to Jesus this was too hard and they left him. For many who would call themselves Christian today this is still too hard and they believe what they want, *You say* “Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.” - Will not happen to those who believe Nobody believed and is dead (Hell is called death). *response* Once more I ask how do you know you believe? what do you believe? What does it mean to believe in Jesus Christ? “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. He who conquers shall be clad thus in white garments, and I will not blot his name out of the book of life; I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ (Rev 3:1-6) Why is it those who have kept their garment clean have not defiled it with sin are the only ones told that the shall not be blotted out of the book of life. *You say* You will never perish once you believe John 10:28 *Response* These are very selective proof texts, why do you quote half a sentence. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. (John 10:27-29) You have missed who cannot be snatched out of his hand; those who hear his voice and follow him. It is those who wander from the truth who have a problem. My brethren, if any one among you wanders from the truth and some one brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (James 2:19-20) *You say* John 6 58 *Then say* Sound like you live forever once come to/believe on the father John 6 (notice how many of these are John 6, I am showing you the context) *then quote* John 6:35-38 *Then say* You eat the bread by believing. Jesus Christ’s sacrifice of his body breaking is sufficient to pay for all of your sins and give you everlasting life. Eating/drinking is a one time thing, so it’s compared to believing. *Response* Nope you eat his flesh by eating and you drink his blood by drinking For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. (John 6:55) Why do you not believe his words? And he took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise the cup after supper, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. (Luke 22:19-20) When he talks of belief we must believe when he comes for us. Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matt 24:42-44) Come to Christ

Jesus did not just change his mind. He is saying to believe in him you must do good. You quote john 5:24 as if he had stopped talking that nothing he says after matters,. Truly, truly, I say to you, *he who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life;* he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. “Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself, and has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come forth, *those who have done good, to the resurrection of life,* and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment. To believe means that once we hear his word we do it. We do the good he has commanded. If you do not you have not believed and will not be saved. But he who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” (Luke 6:46-49) Unless you are going to do as Christ taught you do not believe.
