the last emperor from 1916 til 1918 was Karl, he died in 1922 on MallorcA Franz Josef from 1848 til 1916, before Franz Joseph Ferdinand

@@busodelor1977 The original anthem was created for the Holy Roman Germanic Empire, where Germany had a presence; additionally, even though the Croats were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Austrians and Croats are ethnically different.

@@idontknowwhatnameuse those two things dont belong together. There should have been a democratization progress, not a whole dissolution. A new regime could have solved the cultural Problems with more autonomy and individuality.
