Gotta Go Fast! Sonic X Theme Song - Sega Genesis Style Remix!

This one's just for fun :^)
While Sonic the Hedgehog is dashing to theaters, I figured I'd make a little rendition of the 2003 cartoon theme song with Sega Genesis sounds. This is admittedly not a PURE Genesis/Mega Drive remix though - I did sparingly use a few non-Genesis sounds from modern synths (we'll just say I did some "blast processing" to upscale the audio).
I used the "Genny" VST for Genesis/Mega Drive sounds, which is free and quite nice! I also just used FL Studio synths Sytrus and Harmor for some additional stuff underneath. And some sound effects from Sonic Adventure. I think that covers most of it... I hope you enjoy!
I'll hopefully get back to doing a real video sometime, I know it's been a while...

@@DieXpert Unfortunately no. I'd have to do some extra licensing/payment to put it on Spotify since it's a cover. Maybe eventually it would be worth it to do that, but for the time being, I won't be able to. I do have original music on Spotify though, and I do take Sonic and other video game music as creative inspiration often!

That's awesome!!!! I was listening some remixes of this song to see who is "the best of then", and my friend, i think...no, i KNOW i have to say that you win! Thanks! I used FL Studio. I put the real song in a project file, matched tempo, and just pieced the parts together with the Genny VST (and other) instruments as best as possible. I didn't find any good MIDI files to download and reference, so I did have to make everything by ear. It was fun though!
