Nah. While Gotmik's final look was a gag, Violet's flesh crown had a message behind it. While you can take the crown off her and force her to pass the mantle on, she doesn't need it and she will always be THE queen. This is why Symone is on par with Violet's looks. High fashion, with a message or a meaning behind it if you look close enough. Anyone can carry a pretty dress, not everyone can have a point of view behind their drag.

True. But also I think this Queens set a new standard in fashion for a finale and it also improved their brand a lot more when we thought it wasn't possible or even necessary.

@@Charliesxz the group of people we saw were looking at a large screen in a parking lot somewhere. They got to see the finale before us but they were basically just watching an early screening, they weren’t in person watching the queens perform. I don’t know if they actually got to watch it live or if they prerecorded it and showed them a day or two after so they could edit it

@@Charliesxz that’s what Alaska and Willam alluded to. I mean why would they chose a small group of “fans” to show an early screening to? They obviously didn’t watch it live, if they did then they must have waited very very long for each outfit change (they had a whole ball) and there were no intermission performers like the usual live finales. Plus I’m sure spoilers would’ve been all over Reddit if they were an actual audience who viewed it earlier. Theoretically, if they were actual fans, that means they would have watched a whole different version of the finale than us - a version without the audiences reaction, since they were the “audience”and were being filmed. So yes they are actors lol

@@azlxns the stylists can't make this level by themselves, Gotmik like Violet, Acuaria, Fame, and Sasha, they all have a strong vision, I am sure Gotmik designed ever centimeter of this garments, from materials, textures and proportions.... the stylists do the job and bedazzling and they get paid good money and get the whole world to see their craftsmanship

@@stijn4687 no, a “Paper Drag” artist designed mik’s look, particularly that finale that we’re gagging about, yet the design was stolen and the artist just got credit when the garment was finished, like they did not even reach out to ask to use the design or collaborate. As an artist myself, that is not the proper etiquette

i mean it's always been this way. most points are weighted to the challenge unless the challenge is actually based on the lewks that week. they should try not to spend all their big books on designer looks but be more economical and still slay.

I don't dislike Gottmik and I'm not a big fan, either, but she served some looks in this season that were, and I don't use this word lightly, fantastic. All of her looks, even the ones that were above average, had some sort of originality to them. And the finale looks, especially the teal dress, were definitely on par with Violet's, even similar shades. Violet's is better, of course, but Mik got really, really close. All of her finale looks were unique and mostly original conceptually.

The bag ball was judged on all three looks, Utica’s was the best for the final but the first 2 were...forgettable. Gottmiks three looks were amazing and memorable, tho Utica’s third look was definitely better. But Gottmik deserved the win for the bag ball for consistency

Agreed. She is Shanaenae 2000 AND I LIVED FOR HER!! the HAIR and outfits were so original and her skin was always so amazing to look at. Even her walk was so ghetto fabulous. She truly was authentic and I knew it would be between her and Gotmik! They were both so different but GREAT at what they do! Not saying the other ladies weren't...those two were just on another level of knowing who they are, knowing what looks good on them, and having a consistent aesthetic throughout the season.
