In France, a lot of people like this roller coaster but they are not coaster enthusiast! For us, coaster lovers, we toadly agree with you! Fun fact, in my video of Toutatis, some people said "not impress, there are not looping, I think goudurix it's better". So yes, in France, we don't have the culture of roller coaster 🤣🤣

No dude, this is an old school Vekoma custom. This old neck breaker is way too much unique and yes their is french coaster enthusiast that actually love this fucked up ride for what it is. At the time this was the most insane steel coaster in France and hold this ridiculous presence in the french coaster lineup. Their is ways to ride it, ain’t an easy one but god I will miss it if something happen to it.

I rode this two weeks ago. It was not a bad experience for me or my wife. While these aged Arrow/Vekoma loopers have never been when I would consider exactly enjoyable, this was one of the best and smoothest among them I have ridden.

🤨🤭I’m sorry, but are you sure you didn’t hit your head too hard? I’ve ridden a few of these monstrosities and not one of them is anything close to smooth or enjoyable. You need to travel around a bit more to experience the rest of these. Only one coaster like this is (apparently) fabulous, but only because of some major improvement work on it in recent years (I can’t remember the coasters name though or the park it lives in).

the reason this isnt as smooth as the Vekoma we know is because this one was built during a time vekoma was merely a subcontractor for Arrow Dynamics, meaning Vekoma just made whatever design Arrow conjured up. the issue is that Vekoma didnt quite understand Arrow's designs and thus many Arrow coasters built by vekoma have held up even worse than traditional Arrows have. Vekoma would obviously take Arrow's track design and make their own tracks with it, which would result in much smoother rides

im gonna get lynched for saying this but in spite of how rough this ride is i honestly really enjoy it; its intense, the layout is cool, it'd probably be considered elite if it were smoother. can't quite defend the transitions, though.

I rode it back in 2002 and actually enjoyed it! Those "wings" on the headrests do a good job of keeping your head from banging into shoulder restraints. I remember trying to hold my head out away from restraint (like I normally do on old loopers), but that was a mistake. Riding with my head against the headrest eliminating the headbanging and made it an enjoyable ride. I rode it several times that day.

You know, it's kind of a shame Drachen Fire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is long gone. Since that ride also had a bad reputation for being really rough and painful to ride (so bad that BGW just gave up on it in 1998 after running it for just six years, then tore it down in 2002), it would have been so interesting to put it against this coaster in a "Which is worse?" sort of thing.

I like to think that the butterfly element (after the first drop) was Vekoma's attempt at a bowtie, like on Dragon Mountain at Marine Land.

I have to say I am surprised to hear that this ride is one of the first ever built. Back when it first opened, that may be true, but I heard that it's running better than ever after getting retracked with new restraints a few years ago.

It would be cool if the park got rid of it and replaced it with a new Vekoma, but to pay tribute to the old layout, they used the same elements, or even the whole same layout

I was so happy I decided this to NOT be my 100th coaster. It has a great layout, but man, when I was stood in the final brakes it took a few moments for me to question if I could get out of that car on my own. Seriously, it was a punch in the belly that winds you. Though admittedly I went for the back row, which might not have been my best idea lol

Bizarrely I’ve been on this across two separate trips a few years apart and didn’t find it too bad either time. Way more comfortable than a standard SLC and a fun layout.

The ride’s name may mean “the taste of danger” but they should really re-name it to “Agitateur de tête” (Head shaker), which would better fit the ride’s reputation!

Just rode it, it's no near uncomfortable. It's slow pace actually make, for me, the best Vekoma ever made. I've been to smaller Vekoma's that are more painful.

I don't know, honestly most people I hear that ride this seem to enjoy it. Didn't realize most people hated it. Always seemed like a park favorite. Doesn't seem that rough besides the obvious.

It's actually pretty creative. But the serious lack of transitions combined with the horrible manufacturing tolerances really make things like this a rough mess. If this received new track like Great Nor'Easter it could be really interesting.

Jesus OWWWW! I think my neck just snapped in half just watching that. Someone hit the auto-smooth on this thing!! I mean the layout absolutely rocks but those transitions look awful. I'm absolutely sure if Vekoma went back and gave this coaster a total retrack (like how they did with Python in Eftling), this thing would have a better ride experience.

Honestly, I didn't think the ride was that bad. Sure it has some godawful transitions, especially on the Butterfly element, but I kinda found this ride pretty enjoyable. I just braced myself by placing my head further back so I wouldn't get any headbanging. I only banged my head when we reached the turn from the brakes, but that was just about it.

I hope more parks order chance gtx coasters to keep the arrow track design alive. Idk why vekoma stopped using this track it wasn't the tracks fault that it was rough it was the people who designed the layout with crap transitions and trains that smash your brain.
