Hello i have Just moved some white, Silver and dilute in 1 clutc i have 2 pair right now

Apart from the initial costs, would a PVC box be useful? (if one exists for Gouldians).

You do get plastic nest boxes and even breeding cages. The only issue would ve the moisture in the nest boxes as it could lead to mold etc. I have seen a new design that has a lot of vents so that version should be fine.

Hi Clyde, I bought L shaped boxes from Ruan. The ones with the divider. I had a few pairs that build their nests in the space between the opening and divider. I did put grass as a start to the nest inside as you would normally do to assist them. Can anyone give some advise to correct this problem?

I hung one on a cage last week to give it a try and funny enough the same thing happened. I guess some like a smaller space than others. I would worry too much about it as I doubt it will cause a problem. Good luck for the breeding season.

Hi there are the gouldian finches in the wild uses the same nest in their breeding season or do they build new nest every new breeding seasons.

In my bird room they lay multiple clutches in the season using the same nest. In terms of the wild I would imagine this to be the same as suitable nest sites are not easy to find in the wild which is one of the reasons the conservation efforts in Australian have been putting up nest boxes to help the wild population.
