Years ago Bobby Bowden confess his love for Jesus Christ on national TV. I have nothing but love for the man and his family

As an FSU Alum, my heart is breaking. I was on campus in the mid 80s, and Coach Bowden was one of the most approachable of people. A Southern Gentleman through and through, he always had a smile and a "How y'all doing?" for everyone whose path he crossed. Sometimes he be zipping around the campus in his FSU golf cart. A legend. He will be forever a part of my heart. Rest with the angels, Coach.

A class act. Bowden was one of a kind. There are not many coaches like him today. An innovator and he really cared about his players. As a FSU graduate, I am proud of all he accomplished. RIP Bobby!

So many great memories growing up in the 90's watching Coach Bobby Bowden and Florida State, they were so dominate and you always knew that they would be in the running for number 1 almost every year. I'm not a Florida State fan but I always had the utmost respect for Coach Bowden and always enjoyed seeing him defeat Steve Spurrier when he was at Florida. Thanks for all of the GREAT memories that you gave to us in the 90's and all the way up until you retired. RIP Coach my prayers are with your family.

Met Bobby’s hearse at Samford University on Sunday. His entire family graciously greeted neighbors, friends and our extended FSU family. It was a joyous occasion and a celebration of Bobby’s life.

I moved to Florida in the 1990's and did not know that much about Florida State before that time. I was almost immediately drawn into support of FSU football. As the years passed and Coach Bowden was forced out by FSU. I discovered I wasn't really an FSU fan but I was through and through a Bobby Bowden fan! And don't be misled by all the headlines which state, "Coach Bobby Bowden has Died". My friend, because of his trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is now more alive than he ever was before! For he is now in the presence of his Savior!

He was an awesome Man and Great coach for FSU, he will be greatly missed God bless him .
