I bought a 86 LG tv from my brother in law and came with govee T1. I was able to experience what it looks like when I first used it but unfortunately the system doesn't work anymore as something broke during the move apperantly. Anywho, I can't go back after using the lights, just bought a T2, can't wait!

I bought the DreamView G1Pro for my PC setup awhile back and was blow away. I love the functionality of the app easy to operate and offers complexity. My favorite feature was learning about “Movie Watching Dreamview” allowing all my Govee lights to synchronize creating a visual engulfment fueled with euphoria. I’m excited to say I just bought the T2 for my 70” TV in the family room. I didn’t feel too guilty buying it because now I can share the experience with the family 😂 and secondly I just thought about it… that means movie night tonight!🍿

They have really good customer service too and products. I broke my LEDs while moving my desk don’t at all tug on LEDs lol but they sent replacements for free.

It is actually possible to mount this below the TV. Because of where my TV sits, I had to put mine on top, though. You just don’t notice it after a while.

Nice setup. I have a mix of Hue and Govee and they are absolutely amazing together. I have three Govee Lyra lamps and the first one I purchased completely stopped working after about three months. Govee support stated it will be replaced within the next couple of days. I shall see.

I am using a 77" LG C2, I have a venetian blind 20cm from the left of my screen and a cabinet 20cm on the right. The TV is mounted to the wall with about 10cm from the floating tv console. Question is...would i be able to enjoy the effect with only a 20cm wall border?🤔

@Wolf26pack I've been using the Govee Dreamview Pro T1 edition on my TV for awhile now and it has been amazing. I also have a Hue Sync Box and while each has its pros and cons. I feel Govee has the Edge over Philip's Hue everytime. In Price, in Quality, in the # of different lights that will work with the system. The only thing is the camera, but with that comes the advantage of being able to have the picture quality being at its highest quality no matter what TV you have i.e. 1080p, 4K, 8K, etc... and honestly like Jon said it tends to disappear and you get immersed in the lights. I Love my Govee and would recommend it to all my friends. Soon I'll be hopefully getting a 8K TV next year and these would be perfect for it.

If I have one criticism of Govee is that their backlights come in 55-65 and 75-85, and I own a 70 inch TV. There either needs to be overlap or clear instructions on affixing lights to the neglected range. I believe that some have found success using the smaller kit, but I don't really enjoy gambling. For the record, I do own several Govee products and have liked them all.

Pretty shocked how good the govee T2 looks I been using my goove T1 dream view for the last 3 months and gives a very good ambiance to my TV set up and the app it's just a breeze to use and these T2 seems to take things to another level I'll be buying one for my PC set up

If you do raspery hyperion mod that can be amazing with a vrr allm hdmi device with 1080p outputing like ezcoo. All great but you cant get it working with intrrnal tv apps like disney or apple tv etc... Even on philips tvs that is the issue. Camera is the only option until tvs have hdmi out port lol

Govee t2 has a big problem which is not showing an accurate color , mine shows purple when the screen is white or even blackish, i did calibrated it and moved the camera more than eight times still has the same issue now iam waiting for the sync box with hdmi 2.1 bc i refuse to buy the one that they launched with outdated hdmi 2.0

Problem...you can't really see the effect during the day or when the surrounding lights are on. The camera would pick up the surrounding incandescent lights.

I used to have Govee, but I switched to Nanoleaf 4D lights, and the difference is incredible! For me, the best between the two is Nanoleaf, bringing a whole new level of ambiance to my setup with its unique design and quality. I highly recommend the upgrade!

I bought the goove smart light strip for my TV bcz I wanted something I can control by voice, well it died after 2 years and the brightness was average so keep that in mind these things don't last

They just released an HDMI sync box for TVs. It's on sale on their site for 167 for 3 more days. Only available currently for 55-65 inch Also if you choose the camera option, there is calibration videos on here so you don't have to stick anything to your screen.

As long as Govee uses that ugly camera on top of the TV it's going to be a hard pass for me. I purchased a Lytmi system which is less expensive than Govee, works incredibly well, and it doesn't have the hardware poking out of the top of your TV.

A solid backlight would be fine, but I find this animated lighting system distracting & annoying. Perhaps if you’re gaming maaaaybe…but definitely not for watching movies. But hey, that’s me.
