I use Nanoleaf and i love the product, it gives my room so much of a difference. When I say the video I did not think the govee looked better, I think that the Nanoleaf actually look better... Nanoleaf has a few extra features such as screen mirroring or working with razer...

Govee also has a TV/monitor camera backlight system that can copy the colors on screen and sync to all their products. So yes, you could line up the hex lights all the way around your display and the color of each light would match to the color shown closest to it on screen.

Govee all the way for me honestly, majority of my room is filled with govee products, better prices, RGBIC functionality, user friendly app...love them ^.^

I just got my first Govee Hexa light a month ago. I was thinking I wanted a bit of extra RGB to spice up my setup, but was put off by the high price. Got it on sale and was so impressed that I got the Hexa Pro too. They are both fantastic although the Pro looks like 3 dimensional RGB cubes on the wall and might be the coolest RGB accessory I've ever seen. The customization options and accessibility their app provides is top notch. I'm a Govee fanboy now and don't regret shelling out for these at all.

I couldn't fathom dropping $200 on the Govee Hexa. But after seeing these videos and noting two empty PERFECT spaces on my wall, I splurged for TWO sets and have no complaints whatsoever. They even added extra functionality via updates so they can run in sync! Never considered Nanoleaf at all. Great video👍🏾

I'm thinking I'm gonna buy Nanoleaf, they look a lot more slick along with the fact that they're bigger and also they have the "elements" type which look so hecking cool imo.

We're getting the Govee with the clean geometric lines. Then, adding black n white wall hexagons to make a wall design. Absolutely obsessed, into graphic design, gaming & lighting decor, love govee

thank you! i recently shot Nanoleaf 9 panels for 139€ in our electronic market , i guess i was impressed by size and touch function haha. also when i saw govee on amazon, the hexagons didnt impress me in the pictures. the thick white frame put me off along with the smaller size. then i did some research and next to the app problem, some other youtuber stated, that the nanoleaf lights are kind of throwing shadows. which looks super ugly and is inacceptable for that price. i now bought the govee 10 panels on amazon for the same price as the nanoleafs... and i hope ill be able to decide which one to keep when they arrive tomorrow, cause im STILL so thorn up! though a lot of people say the govee ones keep falling off their walls

Nanoleaf FTW! The cool designs and vibes it gives make it my top choice. Govee is good, but Nanoleaf is just a step ahead.

I have a Govee Lyra floor lamp and Table Lamp Auro and never had connection problems, even if you drop the power source, wich sometimes happens here, it'll remember (no like cheap crap that forgets when it has no power for five seconds). The app is easy, once you learn it. You can be overwhelmed by it first.

Hey Tech Tesseract, Thank you for sharing this video, I'd have to say, I've had Nanoleaf Panels for over 5 years now, and the App is the biggest pile of garbage I've ever used. It didn't use to be, seriously, when I first bought my original Rhythm Modules, the App was amazing, it just worked, but.. it just doesn't work anymore, I can't open it, I can't do anything with it. I have to basically pray it works when I set them up, and then never touch it again after I get it working with my Alexa device. My biggest gripe, and I don't know if you'd be able to address this or not, is with mobile ecosystems. See, with an Android phones, Nanoleaf Panels work great, they just operate, and don't have any issues, You connect straight to the devices, can put whatever you want on them, connect up with Alexa, works great. With an iPhone, it refuses to let you do anything without turning your iPhone into a homekit, it flat out does not let you set it up without doing that. It's very frustrating, as the panels are definitely not cheap, that they insist on using Home Kit, even though the functionality is there to not need it. I had to pull out an old school Android phone, hack it to get up to Android 7.0, and then setup the app, just to set up my Panels, and Remote to connect to the Rhythm Module, and I won't dare install the app again on my iPhone, as I'll probably break the whole thing. For that very reason, I don't think I will buy Nanoleaf again until they give me another way to control them outside of their horrible app!

My new Govee light panels arrive tomorrow. Currently have Nanoleaf light panels that have very limited functionality because the app stopped working. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Govee light panels can do.😊

I’ve never had issues with Nanoleaf, but I always has a “feature warning” in app. Also Nanoleaf has a killer feature for me - Apple HomeKit integration and automation. Nanoleaf also supporting new Thread smart devices protocol.

I'm biased because I have over 300 nanoleaf panels. The Nanoleaf shapes can add mini triangles, triangles and octogons so it's way more versatile including its dice looking remote and Thread networking. I also think they look better since they don't have the border . The thing that sucks with Nanoleaf is that they have connecting issues sometimes and you can't select scenes when you are not on the wifi network. Come on nanoleaf!

Govee's sync and brightness make me prefer this product to Nanoleaf. Btw, your video is great too

Going for govi for sure, especially with that rgbic capability. More selections of different types of lights too. Whereas nanoleaf offers just light panels. Also, connectivity on the nanoleaf seems more problematic than the govi (as you demonstrated)

Have you seen the new Black Nanoleaf panels ? whats your thoughts on brightness. The only reviews are from Nanoleaf and looks like they have altered the comparison to make them look a similar brightness.

Even though the nanaoleaf are larger by a nice margin, the govee set seems to be more well integrated and has a smoother rgb set. I'll more than likely end up buying a set of those.

How sturdy are the govee? I want to put some figure statues on top of them to light them up, the figured are about 5-10 lbs

I have nanoleaf lines and hexagons, lines always work okay but hexagons for some reason when i turn them off they turn back on after some random time. Sometimes after 1h and sometimes after like 3-4 and then i turn them off and they turn back on and i need to do on/off about 5 times till it turns off properly

Personally I prefer the nano leaf over the Govee because of the lines in between each panel it bothers me a lot

I love Nanoleaf's because they let you sync up to your monitor without extra connections so it syncs up with your gaming colors and makes your games more exciting.

Does these have an auto scheduled turn on feature I.e. for waking up?

I prefer Nanoleaf over Govee for that premium feel and intricate design.

As someone who owns 50+ of the original Aurora Nanoleaf panels and 30+ from their Canvas line, Nanoleaf's replacement Hexagon Shapes are horrible looking in my opinion. Hexagons have 6 points right? Triangles have 3 points right? These are weird shaped blobs. I still can't get over the fact Nanoleaf dropped production of the og line. Since then I've refused to ever buy another Nanoleaf product because it sets a precedence that they will drop other products in the future. But I get Nanoleaf... Money=Good. I even have a Nanoleaf Lines video I made on my channel but never again. I have 6 different Nanoleaf controllers and am CONSTANTLY fighting connection issues... EVEN with their latest update that was suppose to improve it. Govee has a much better connection and has a bluetooth backup in case the wifi has issues though I've rarely had to use that... Every other day though my Nanoleaf panels refuse to connect and I'm stuck either doing the soft reset and worst case hard reset. It's funny too because Nanoleaf supports the "Thread" mesh network that allows their products to act as routers and bounce the signal to other products YET still have horrible issues connecting. I have about 12 Govee products and they will always be my choice in the future. The GROWTH that Govee has gone through also speaks a lot about where they are headed. Very nice video I think you guys covered the issues of both pretty thoroughly. These are my favorite types of videos you make, keep it up.

The answer is Govee. Govee is incredible, affordable, and constantly improving. I use the dreamview and have three sets of Govee lights that all coordinate with Alexa's voice command. It's not even a comparison.

Much prefer Govee, real hexagon with no rounded corners, better color flow, sure they have an edge but i don't mind that at all to be honest, and they're cheaper, slightly smaller, but meh.

As a light Govee wins hands down, sharper edges and better colour saturation, anything else is secondary to me.

Nanoleaf is troublesome to connect to home assistant while govee is not, that kinda sealed the deal for me. Govee better priced too, but quality probably less.

Govee pisses me off because they will not expose dreamview and other features to the API. Why can I not turn off govee lights over time? Because govee says so.

Love govee culture, but nanoleaf is by far the superior and more polished product. Govee stuff really does seem to be a lackluster in many many aspects and they're no longer cheap, now that they've got a strong following. Pretty common with a lot of Chinese products and brands.
