The Arizona Senate on May 2, 2024, voted to undo a near total ban on abortion that dates back to 1864 but was revived by the state Supreme Court after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Governor Katie Hobbs is expected to immediately sign the repeal bill.
