So we need a Congress full of people who talk big and bad, strut their feathers, and rail against the corrupt left but, in the end, do absolutely nothing about it? Sorry, not trying to be mean but Gowdy really disappointed me. He talked a big game but Hillary is still free, the corrupt Mueller investigation is still going on, and the whole Obama/Clinton/DOJ/FBI scandal is still dangling in front of our faces mocking us. He was the person most able to do something about these things but he did nothing but talk.

If more of our elected officials were as honest, transparent, selfless and served with the true grit, as Trey Gowdy, the nature of our leadership in Congress, as well as The White House, would be viewed in a much greater light. While I respect his decision to leave, it greatly concerns me that a leader of such high character and dignity, will leave a void, that we, as a people, cant afford in America.

I can truthfully say that I will miss Trey Gowdy. He is one of, if not the definition of, what a congressman should be and strive to be. It is a sad day for our country for our loss and I could not thank him enough for what he's done for our country, and I've NEVER said that about any politician in my life. Thank you Congressman Gowdy for your service and to your family for their sacrifice.

Congressman Trey Gowdy, weather your efforts were rewarded or not by people doing the right thing, the United States is undoubtedly a better place because you set an example of doing what is right because it was right even if you had to do so alone. I hope that up and coming generations can follow your example because it's a hard road in front of us and it will take many people of strong character like yourself to pull us away from the brink of destruction. Your presence in Washington D.C. will be sorely missed, but I know you will do a fantastic job fighting for the rights of the citizens of this country as an attorney once again. Gosh, mr gowdy, with you leaving, I feel a piece of my heart is being torn out.......yes, I understand the horrific frustration you went through-- as many of us Americans have suffered with you, however, you were in the thick of the hoax & turmoil which has to be even more intense than we whom could only watch as viewers could not physically get in the ring with you- please stay in touch with us- maybe through a book or an occasional interview-- many of us have prayed for you and will continue to do so

I'm Irish. Living in Ireland. I have followed Trey Gowdy on utube. What a man in every since of the word. He will be sadly missed. America need more like him. His truth for justice. His truth for honestly. His truth for good behaviour. Not only in politics but in his every day life. You can see he has a deep faith. Great family values. Gowdy fooled a lot of people, including you. Big talk, no action. Protected Hillary, put on a big show in hearings as always. Drama king, watch him in action with that supposition and you'll see all the signs. Spent an entire year going on TV saying, and I quote, "Thank God we have a good, honorable man of integrity like *Bob Mueller."* And then suddenly stopped saying it after that one appearance on FOX where he slipped up and everyone turned on him. Not ready to throw up yet? Try this: *his campaigns accepted significant funding from The Podesta Group.* [CLINTON] This is public information, ignored by "conservative" media and low-information voters like yourself. The Clinton administration gave Gowdy his first big break as a prosecutor, and he always protected them. Why do you think he's fleeing Congress with the other RINOs?! *He just met Trump for the first time this week!!!!!!!"* Duh Wake up and smell the coffee. He's the only reason I'll tune into C-Span. As a matter of fact, I've never watched a full segment on public meetings held by Congress due to boredom. But every time Trey Gowdy takes the mic. The room is lit up! My eyes and ears are glued to the screen on full alert. This man literally sparked my interest to watch C-Span a channel I'd normally skip. Always enjoyed seeing him drill the person in the hot seat. I've also learned the skills on how to ask the right questions in a debate and always do your own due diligence using a verified source. It worked against the Liberals (Rekt!) I faced and sometimes my wife (She remain silent...). This man will truly be missed! Trey Gowdy is a fricken Stud and a Legend in my book!
