With this film (the second war trilogy set during the Filipino-American war in the early 1900s), the revolution marches on against the Americans after the bloody death of General Antonio Luna. The conflicted philosophies behind the heroic struggle continue and become personified in the colorful character of General Gregorio “Goyo” del Pilar.

Iba talaga pag Filipino tunay na lahing espanyol mag aaway away para lang sa entitlement buti pa yung mga tunay na Tagalog diretso sa pakikipaglaban, may pag-ibig sa bayan at nag tutulungan para sa bayan, yun nga lang biniktima na sila ng mga Filipino bilang alay sa pag agaw ng kapangyarihan at pansariling kapakanan. Perhaps now is not the best time to release this movie. Its making it seem like Joven here who looks chinese could influence our views and make them the good guys and the Americans who currently are in good terms with us are the bad guys. This will possibly create confusion with the people especially we're facing tensions in the West Philippine Sea. I know he's a representation of the youth and is Filipino. But people could interpret it in many ways.

R u serious? Joven doesn't even look chinese. And his looks is an average look for modern filipinos. Even half of my boy classmates looks like him. He's literally the archetype of chinito in filipino beauty standard if you think he looks east asian. But then, he looks just an average moreno. And if you think he looks chinese, why don't you think anghel and his older brother looks chinese 11:32
