well this is what you get for chosing to be on the draw lol. if he didn't opt to do so he wouldn't have had to deal with that horrible tasigur on turn 2 that caused him all kinds of problems. anyway chapin's deck is just great... looks like turn 2 tasigur is a good recipe for a win

Eyeforaneye Letting your opponent play first is usually the wrong choice in Modern, even in Control mirrors (which this match-up kind of was). The reason being that Tempo, especially mana availability, decides many more counter-wars than all other factors combined in Modern (other factors being number of cards in hand, how situational and/or powerful the counters are etc.) And winning a counter war usually wins you the game in a Control mirror. This is, however, usually untrue for Standard, where number of cards in hand can definitely win over mana availability - which makes deciding to be on the draw in a Standard Control mirror often a good choice.
