does a map connect to the rescue center when you are in need?

@@motolover5697 no. inReach just sends the GPS coordinates to the rescue center when the SOS is triggered (if you have inReach and a subscription), no map function needed. I have the inReach Mini 2, that doesn’t even have maps on it, and its main purpose is SOS.

It's a 2022/2023 spec li-ion battery. My iPad Mini from 2021 still charges fully, I ain't throwing it away. My Surface Pro 5 from 2017 still holds a full charge. What product has to be thrown away after just two years??

That's a bad idea. Lithium Batteries are superior to Alkaline's. You'd never achieve the 180 hrs of operation with AA. Use a battery bank for extra power.

AA batteries are pretty trash to be honest. Poor long term storage, poor cold/hot performance, prone to leaking. People often tend to argue battery types when talking optics but in reality almost any gas station now a days is going to have a variety of batteries including coin cells. Lithium is superior in every way. I agree being able to swap them would be ideal, but with 123a

Thank you for your question. Yes, it can be used on a motorcycle. However, it does not come preloaded with road maps. Those would need to be purchased separately, as well as a handlebar mount. Also, it will not include all of the motorcycle specific navigation features like our zumo series devices. The zumo series is designed specifically for motorcycles with included maps, mount, and motorcycle power cable.
