Taika's best acting is in Our Flag Means Death! We all know he's a hilarious comedic actor, but how he handles the drama and romance in the show is compelling and heartfelt. What that man does with his eyes...SHEEESH

Stu in What We Do in the Shadows is the best. The genius of the character is the actor* just kind of stands there, but everyone around him reacts so positively towards him. (*He’s not an actor. He’s just a tech guy Waititi wanted around on camera. The guy had no idea he’d be in the movie so much or be such a pivotal character!)

my favorite part @ 00:59 " explore the jack kirby art " ...recognizing & name drop that early in to it, is part of what makes waititi grow in greatness.

Taika is a gift and I absolutely adore him and his films. Jojo and Wilderpeople are literal classics. He has two of the best Marvel movies ever (Love and Thunder was that good, to me), and he's getting a Star Wars. I'm just so thankful he exists.
