Eintracht s revenge came 46 years later …..

I couldn’t go to this match, but Paddon’s away goal was effectively the difference between the two sides. Rather coincidentally, I attended this stadium a couple of years later in 1978 when Eintracht played Borussia Moenchengladbach, who were also a top team in those days. Eintracht’s stadium was in the middle of a forest and it was called, quite appropriately, the ‘Wald Stadion’ (Forest Stadium.)
