Man Utd weren't that good in the 80s. They used to rise there game whenever they played Liverpool. They never won the league and only won 2 fa cups.

I'm a Chelsea fan but this is the performance I always remember Liverpool for. Not withstanding they were playing against 10 men in the second half it could have been double figures.

I`m Utd but I can appreciate these old grounds, I liked a terraced Highbury as well, It was a fine sight packed and the only other English ground to match Old Trafford for capacity in the 1970s-80s, but they could never dream of matching Utds Attendances.

Haha, they never had a chance. Gotta admit, a packed Kop looked amazing. But not as good as a packed Stretty and United Road ;)

There is no mention of this game being at Anfeild, And to say the atmosphere at the Stretford end was "Shite" is a Ludicrous thing to say. Liverpool home Attendances in the early 80`s where frankly embarrassing.....

Nothing to do with him. Producer, possibly Director or Floor Manager? Someone with more expertise would have to name the culprit. But there are several cameramen in numerous positions around the stadium. None of them get to choose when their shots are being broadcast or recorded.

Those 3 you mentioned not played against Everton. McMahon actually playing for Everton, Barnes and Beardsley signed in 1987/88 season.
