Grab vs Taxi at Bangkok BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport | Who is Cheaper?

Ride share pickups are now officially available at Bangkok's biggest airport - Suvarnabhumi BKK Airport. Although ride share apps have been available in Thailand for many years, they have been prevented from picking up passengers at Suvarnabhumi airport until now.
Let's go check out the new rides share service and see which is better for tourists: Ride Share or Taxi!

As a frequent traveler to Thailand, I’ve taken both taxis and the airport link before. But mainly taxis, as I arrive from the U.S. with 2 checked baggage, a carryon and a backpack. In May, I took a taxi to Bangkok Sue railway station. The driver wanted 800 baht. I considered making him use the meter. I instead offered him 650 baht. I knew that the total fare would have been around 550 baht, with tolls and 50 baht airport surcharge and he would be loading and unloading my luggage. This October, I may try grab, or take airport link to Playa Thai and take a taxi from there. Trying to take the MRT blue line from Makkasan and the walk that involves would probably be too much after a 24 hour flight.

Thank you for your comment. This one, I probably could have left the music off. For markets, though, KZfaq will demonitize or block my videos even for just a few seconds of someone playing copyrighted music in the background 😔

Hello there, would the regular taxi at BKK airport taxi stand take you out of town like BangSaen or Pattaya? thanks

Yes, the prices are fixed and tolls to pay. Getting a taxi leaving Bang Saen is not easy on the other hand, so be aware of that. You will need to pre arrange a pickup or find a service while in Bang Saen to go back to Bangkok.
