I love this sermon. Never thought about judas in that way of choosing the wrong path that maybe looked good but wasn't. That is the best example I've heard of how the devil works: presenting you with something you think is good or pleasing to you but isn't in the end. Christ is risen!

How interesting to see how much pride we have when we think : oh, how wonderful that I confessed my sin of pride , and now I’m all set. Until someone comes and tells us how wonderful or beautiful we are. Then once again temptation of pride comes right back in. Holy Master pray for me.🙏☦️

thank you, Father Demetrios. please remember the unprofitable servant, Dismas Bailey, in your prayers. i have been guided by our Holy Fathers to pray for humility, and, have been going through situations where i become ungrateful for what God, in His love and great compassion, has appointed me. this is my fault. the little trickster throws hooks out, but i am the one who takes the bait, and i am the one to blame. thank God, i hope i can continually be given the chance, at least, to pour myself out like blood and water; the blood of my struggle, and the Life-giving water of the All-Holy Spirit. good Holy Ascension to you all, thank you for your prayers and your work of Faith. love and prayers from St. John the Wonderworker in Portage, Wisconsin, and from Baraboo Wisconsin, my home-town where i live, and from me, the sinner, Dismas Bailey ❤☦❤

This is amazing. Is it in every orthodox church like this? Does the listeners become such a teaching all the time during the mass? Whou, what a treasure it is for the believers.

Not every Orthodox Church unfortunately. This one is under the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece. The Metropolitan gives a sermon when time permits, since he travels a lot. You can find a lot of great sermons of his on this Orthodox Tradition channel above. It's a channel owned by the Saint John of San Francisco Monastery.

No!! You have to be very very careful, since Christianity is under attack, the orthodox Church is under especially strong attack by the "wolves in sheep's clothing" that Christ speaks about, and unfortunately the wolves have taken over a vast majority of the jurisdictions. Metropolitan Demetrios is teaching the true, uncorrupted Orthodox faith that SHOULD be taught in every orthodox church, but the godless children of satan have infiltrated the church in a very big way. Contact their monastery and they can help you find a good authentic Orthodox Church.

I am a heterodox but have been desiring to convert to orthodoxy for years now. I have been trying to walk according to the orthodox Christian way. Fr. Demetrius, please pray that the Lord bless and guide me and my family into the Holy Ancient Church. Also I have been searching for a Orthodox book on the Apostolic Father's. The book I purchased turned out to be produced from Roman Catholic scholar, which has useful information in it but has a bit of a Bias towards the Pope and Roman Catholicism. Do you have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it. Christ is risen!

Is it also possible for some to receive a greater grace before a greater temptation...as a means of God's "shoring one up" as a means of helping us to endure a temptation that's coming.
