Excellent work. The soldier and athlete part connect with Chapter 4 verse 7. "i have fought the good fight, I have ran the race" As a soldier and an athlete we do these things.

No amount of prayer, seeking, repentance Etc ever helped me overcome my "demons" which were a direct result of childhood trauma starting even before I was born. It was only after leaving the church, reformed theology, the Bible, religion all of it behind that I was able to begin the healing process. I was only able to come to True understanding of my issues after removing the religious narrative from my mind. It is not helpful or healthy in any way. Biblical theology held back my healing by 20 years. I am so much more mentally and spiritually healthy now than I ever was as a believer. This is objectively true. I am more patient, more loving, less angry, more tolerant, more forgiving, more understanding, more JOYFUL, more grateful... than I ever was as a believer and I had sought God with tears and with all my heart for this grace. Isn't it interesting that my healing only came after leaving all of it behind? Now my marriage is better than ever as well.
