Seen Grace numerous times. 2022 she sang 'Amazing Grace' @ Hollywood Bowl. Hit notes perfectly in a range not heard before. It was Amazing Grace!

I don't know anyone who doesn't LOVE her...Im serious. I guess like-minded people, do think alike. So when her name falls out of my mouth to friends or people that I know, they all bow down to her. Ive always believed, life is easier and more enjoyable, when you are your authentic self, all the time. That way, folks will know where they stand with you. She epitomizes that. She is who she is, with no apologies....and people like that about her.

Oh man, great she hit that Russel Harty character... I never understood why he did those music programs for so long while he didn't like the music, and didn't understand the musicians one bit? You see him with The Who or David Bowie in the '70s, and it was such a drag listening to these uninterested questions, he just wouldn't understand what they were all about, this guy was from a total different generation.

She was and is 'iconic (musically, creatively and physically. Has it has 'long' been proven, beauty is no longer measured against 'golden haired blue eyed 'pom pom tossing cheerleaders etc' (no, that just doesn't cut it anymore). It is 'diversity and difference' (but perhaps it was the 'fear' of that for some folks).She was 'way ahead of her time in all three aforementioned attributes. The Naomi Cambell of the 80's.

I used to listen to her in the 1980s at the discos, some of her songs were very popular and she was known as a chic tomboy. She created her own genre with the "Pull up to the bumper" very popular disco tune. I am listening to this today because for some reason I thought Donna Summer had sung the song, and then when I checked it was Grace Jones, and now I recall seeing her videos back in the 80s. I started thinking about this tune a few days ago, especially the cool electronic music.
