My friend’s mom and grandma were a big part of Main Line society. One day while they were at a high class party, her mom lost her retainer. But a lady in an elaborate dress searched the whole room with her (my friend’s mom) until she found it and returned it. That lady was Grace Kelly. Her kindness is not a myth!

Yet she mispronounces Monaco about 50 times in this video. Karine is obviously reading in all of her videos. Sometimes it seems like they are all a cut a paste job - other times she seems to have some context and familiarity with her subject matter. But if she really knew anything about Princess Grace, she would know how to pronounce the principality of Monaco! It's not like it doesn't exist. Certainly easy enough to research how to SAY it properly. She does have a great voice, but she TALKS WAY TOO FAST and her videos often end abruptly. She never finishes a life. Their is a lot to say about Princess Grace after she married. Karine is a hustler. She never gives a subject their full due. And I don't think the source materials are even written by her. She offers some warm and casual asides to cover up for the fact that she's just reading some kind of AI synopsis. MONACO.

Her death was very sad, way too young. From what I’ve read, it does seem she had a stroke at the wheel. It was also sad that people blamed her 16-year old daughter, saying she was driving, and also they’d wished she’d died instead of her mother. I think a lot of it had to do with the girl being a bit of a wild child and causing grief and worry because of it. Regardless, Grace would’ve been horrified.

What is private is private and America is so hypocritical. The only reason her affairs are considered a scandal is because Grace Kelly managed to be descreet enough that the press did not find out at the time, and that is seen as a scandal. If people have affairs and it is public knowledge in America, for some reason that is not a scandal. It is a very odd mindset. I am not surprised Grace went to live in France. It is more straight forward and less judgemental a society.

Grace's actual movie career spanned only about 6 years, yet she is still remembered as one of the 'all time greats' of Hollywood! Seeing "Thief", as a 9 year old, gave me a thirst for traveling, so in 1983, I ventured to Monaco, but as luck would have it, Grace Kelly unexpectedly died the previous year, leaving me only able to visit her gravesite! I don't like the way it ended for her, then again she didn't grow old either. Nice life in my book. I agree with the ladies below that it might not be so okay to have her seduce your own husband, but.. Should people be owned like they are? Her sister Peggy said that Princess Grace changed the way the talked. She acquired a European accent.
@WhoWho569

That’s normal, specially if you’re a natural mirror, as some people are. I’ve always done the same. If I stay in a place for longer than say a month I very much naturally start acquiring the local mannerisms and accent. That’s the most normal thing ever. I never got why so many people feel so randomly triggered and thrown off by it, and have to be snarky about it, implying that the other is doing it on purpose. She didn’t change the way she talked, the way she talked changed, by virtue of her moving to another environment. It’s called acquisition. Her sister was most probably jealous to have put it that way; probably wished that she could sound like her, instead of sounding like a triggered jealous turd.

I love your videos, Karine! Has anyone given thought to the fact that Grace grew up in a strict, religious home and that she was exposed to Hollywood and loose living at a young age? Some of these affairs may have been the rebellion of youth? I doubt as a mature woman she would have acted in a similar way. After all, as a princess, she was a good and faithful wife and mother....Everyone makes mistakes in life! I hope we can keep that in mind....🌺

Yes, there is like an accent on the o to pronounce Monaco correctly. And an heir to a throne is not pronounced "hair" but as "air." I really liked your soft-spoken voice; too many videos have hosts literally shouting, as if there was no volume. I would only ask that you go slower, there's no rush, which would add to [the punction and] the already good quality, allow for a better rythm and for the listener to absorb better as well. Otherwise, great job.

People like to speculate Grace's love life but I saw an interview where Lizanne (Grace's sister) debunked those claims as simply scandulous. So I'm not sure if Grace really was promiscuous. I've read what her close friends said about her and they said that its unlikely that she would be promisuous cause they were with her the whole time and said she wasn't like that. Also Lizanne said her mother actually had to sell scandalous claims about Grace because her mother was desperate to donate the money towards the Female Medical Association college so I'm quite doubtful about the claims that Grace was a promiscuous. She was a discreet lady and there is no substantial evidence of her committing those acts.

Perhaps Grace did have one or two dalliances in the 1950s which weren't considered acceptable. Over the years though, these stories grew to the point where she was apparently some sort of insatiable nymphomaniac whom no male was safe from and that's utter nonsense. When the author Gwen Robyns was writing Grace's biography in the 70s, she made the unusual move of submitting it for approval beforehand. Grace asked her to leave out some details about her Hollywood life before she became the Princess of Monaco. Robyns did that and was rewarded with a close friendship with Grace for the rest of her life.
