Chris Wow, I had to comment this is my 33rd year battling Lyme disease. The disease is so physically, mentally, and emotionally, debilitating, but I was thinking this morning that had I never gotten the disease as a child I may never have received the many blessings in my life that I’ve received from our Lord, the trials produced perseverance James 1:2-4 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,fn whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Like Paul the weaknesses have made me strong 2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Since being saved by the blood of Jesus and by reading the Bible daily, with prayer and worship, I’ve stopped asking for death, for so long I prayed to God to take me and so many other lamentations. Now, I mourn all my sins and all the ways I’ve reveled against our loving and Holy father. When you realize that man’s sin caused Lyme disease, it can be angering. Have you heard that the disease was caused by biological weapons testing on Plum Island, and that the facility was never properly closed down that the disease was spread from the ticks to the birds flying over the Atlantic. Of course it may have no grounding in fact, but the anger that this disease was transmitted to me at such a young age made me bitter for so long and made many people doubt and hate me because they judged me as a liar or lazy, since the disease is not something that modern medical professionals can even find in your body, I pray that light is put on this disease and it’s victims and that it is eradicated from the environment or that there is a cure, but mostly that all those suffering find salvation in Jesus Christ. Thank you and blessings to you, it’s nice to share my story with someone that may understand it.
