Graham. I agree with that 100% as do most of the people who are musicians in the audience. We know top talent when we hear and see it. We all love her and her attitude and music so much. Alan, even my two kids, who are 32 and 28 years old, are amazed that I have become such an avid fan of Grace's, but it is so rare to see such incredible talent, especially from what was just a 12 year old at the time. I predict greatness for Grace. She has an unbelievable future ahead of her and she is so deserving of that. If she is capable of those lyrics at 12 years old, what will she be delivering when she is 30? The mind boggles and I am hoping she one day come to South Africa, as if she does, I will the very first ticket buyer.

Interesting. There are things in life that bring joy and ease pain. Music is among them. For those like myself who are musicians and listeners of music, we have specific standards whatever they may be. We have likes and not so much. I tried something different tonight. I wanted to watch like a news program on TV and I had been listening to music all day. So instead of turning it off, I turned the music way down so I could concentrate on the TV. It was a very relaxing experience. Psychologically, I can't say exactly what was at work but the effect was I was able to do what I needed to do, like work or study, and use the music as a hint of background music. Very comforting. If you are listening to the absence of getting things done, try playing music from KZfaq or whatever and get your work done. I thought I'd add that here because watching music videos can be extremely addictive and this way you can still get necessary things done.

I am retired, so I now get the time to watch KZfaq, which is how I discovered Grace, as I never saw AGT back in 2016, far too busy in the kitchen as the head chef in my restaurant. I am so incredibly happy to have discovered such an incredible talent. And also very happy I now have the time to do things like watching talent on KZfaq. I have discovered some incredible people in the last few weeks, not just Grace, but Susan Boyle, Charlotte and Jonathan, Jackie Evancho, Laura Bretan, Beau Dermott, Calysta Bevier........ the list is endless. But of them all, Grace is just the most incredible thing ever. Unbelievable!

Being semi-retired myself, it is such a blessing that these kids and adults are bringing the music! Just like the old masters of the blues or folk, these kids are giving us of their inner selves and what they want to sing about. I have to say, it seems so healing and positive and that's music as a healing force.

I couldn't agree more. She is really tapping into the late 60's early 70's energy I believe. She is original totally however and amazing and sweet as they come. She is my hero!

Her Mom and Dad were there and brother Jacob. Mom and Dad were so nice, overnice. Crazy that this can all be true. She's so famous and been on all these shows on TV and awards and all that and more...Disney movie, Windex commercial, so much. She seems like the most 'normal' person I have ever met. I think I may have been behind you if you were on the right side? It was a great - solid Grace show that really placed Melissa on Guitar cemented Ben Masters on the drums. A very magical experience for me and so glad I recorded it all. I love this Grace VanderWaal and finally got to meet her last year and her brother and talk with her parents a bit. Grace's waist was so small it was surprising when we had the photo taken : ) She's an amazing role model for me and helps me think about life and theater and music in a different and more important way in my life. How grateful we are to have the 'gift' of music whether we are players or the entertained. She deserves all of God's great miracles he has waiting inside of her. Thank you and Go Grace!

This concert video never gets old. I watch my own video at least in part, everyday. When I read how people are moved by Grace I cry with joy and a host of feelings. Thank you Grace.

I agree about Grace commanding a stage at 50K. And I also usually use Judy Garland as a comparison when talking to friends. She is just almost a superhuman and a blessed girl and spirit. Ben Masters. I have a different take on this. I have been a champion for Ben (I am a drummer of 55 years of playing and teaching and training drummers) I actually wrote to the GV team and said that when she goes on the ID tour they better pick Ben because he knows how to drive the band and excite the band members and bring the energy up so it gets into the audience. In any case, they picked Ben. I believe that he is so sensitive to this music, and he loves Grace so much and cares so deeply that he knows what to do and when to do it. He's an excellent musician and knows how to rock a room OR bring it down for a library gig. I have total confidence in him and have never heard or experienced his drumming as anything but perfect for each gig. However, I will say that where I was recording this the drums in that seating area, the drums came across a bit in your face. I invite you to watch other people's videos of this concert to hear that huge difference from maybe 40 feet back from where I was in the 3rd row. But I appreciate your sensitivity and of course your always insightful comments. You are a true Grace supporter till the end, I know. PS. Grace is the coolest kid on the block. Btw, she's also a complete entertainer as you say. Wicked funny, dry wit, great at everything she touches - vocal treatments, stage presence, production, and caring for others. This list is endless. We all want her to take care of herself because people who give so much can get depleted and though she seems strong as an OX, she needs that downtime and family and friends to hold her close. Which, she has. She's doing everything right and I think she knows when to say, I just can't do that now. Maybe later. Danny, Thank you for your kind words. Since these days not long ago, a few profesional videos have come out mostly from the ID tour and they are excellent too, very excellent! But natural Grace, is well, natural and more human to us. The connection to the audiences are better in ACL and Utica and Boston and the whole JTB tour. She seems more open with her heart if that's possible. I pray to God that we have her with us for a long time of health and happiness. She is an amazing, talented entertainer and also healer. God lives in her and she answers that calling in her way with compassion, heart and soul. Again Danny, thanks! Gone to 3 concerts and tried to be a voice of experience and reason to help. Hard to believe you said that so BIG Thank you for the kind words for the video and especially Grace's performance, style and energy! She is amazing. I went to another concert at a big stadium and was so far away from the stage with an iPhone it was almost impossible to record anything worthwhile. So, I learned. Get into the pit or first 20 rows of a concert to get a decent phone recording. Thanks again! Love it all! Also, please remember to bring earplugs to concerts. You only need one and switch it from ear to ear every 8-10 mins. That's the way musicians do it and the way I was trained. That way the muscles of the ear get to rest and you still feel connected to the concert and artist.

Thanks for sharing that difficult and then beautiful, helpful experience. I think a lot of people benefit from just paying attention to Grace. There is no other!

I really think it’s always important to mention the parenting she has and support from her brother and sister. At concerts I’ve met and talked with cousins and relatives... they all really seem to be great folks. Grace can make the right decisions musically and artistically and the rest is work but it comes naturally for her. She loves what she’s doing!

That was a great show and when we were there, many of us realized that this was smoothing out to be a good night. You could feel it in the air and the crowd. It was a relaxed Grace having fun as she usually does but she seemed so open and as always, REAL! She blows me away and next year we get to see her new streaming movie Stargirl! And more music I hear. I hope she'll continue to play smaller venues for our sake but we'll have to see. She can fill large stadiums easily I believe at this point. @@Drumconnection Thanks for the reply. I believe some new music is right around the corner for the holidays - possibly an EP. And she did everything but commit to some new music in Stargirl. Maybe you missed it, but a few seconds of Grace doing a Beach Boys classic at a football game leaked online, so there's that for sure in Stargirl. Gotta disagree about her filling stadiums. Not yet on her own nickle, but it isn't going to be long. While we're fans, she doesn't have that huge of fan base yet. If she went out on another tour under her name, she certainly could do bigger venues like theatres and 3000 seat places rather than the 600 person venues from her JtB tour. And maybe she will if she releases a new EP. Stargirl has wrapped up, and she's been uncharacteristically missing from social media. That makes me think she's working on something. She did mention "Filming days and recording days" during the shoot. She may be dubbing movie music or producing more of her own music. We're just going to be patient, as difficult as that is for many of her ardent fans. Or she might just be enjoying some well deserved down time. But with either new music or Stargirl, we can look forward to a round of promotional appearances on talk shows. Take care.
