Congenital Heart Disease is the #1 birth defect. Internationally acclaimed Pianist Paul Cardall lived most of his life with half a heart until receiving a donor heart 5 years ago.
Throughout the world, over a million children need inpatient surgery so they can enjoy a beautiful life. For every "Saving tiny Hearts CD" sold, Paul Cardall will donate $1 to www.savingtinyh... - This charity seeds grossly underfunded medical research in this field of cardiology.
Please join this campaign and share this video with your family & friends.

Paul Cardall is a Steinway & Sons sponsored pianist who recently debuted for the third consecutive time on top of the Billboard charts. His latest album “A New Creation” debuted #1 on the Billboard New Age Chart, #1 on Amazon and iTunes, and #2 on Billboard’s Classical Album Chart and comes shortly after Cardall has garnered more than 1.5 billion streams and 25 million monthly listeners.
Paul founded Stone Angel Music in 1999- an independent, award-winning record label and premiere recording studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. The label has released and charted multiple artists on Billboard, including cellist Stephen Sharp Nelson (now of The Piano Guys), #2 Billboard-charting pianist Jason Lyle Black, guitarist Ryan Tilby, composer Shane Mickelson, Ryan Stewart, and Camille Nelson. Stone Angel Music albums are distributed by Deseret Book Distributors, CDBaby, and Alliance Entertainment.
In 2011, Utah State Board of Regents awarded Paul with an honorary doctorate because of his community service. As a former executive board member of the Saving tiny Hearts Society 501(c)3, Paul actively promotes congenital heart disease medical research and keynotes medical conferences all over the world sharing his personal experience surviving congenital heart disease. Shortly after receiving a heart transplant in 2009, Paul established an endowment at Salt Lake Community College that awards annual scholarships for students affected by congenital heart disease.

Thank you everyone who has commented on this video. I wrote this piece while I lived in and out of a hospital in 2008-2009 waiting for a donor heart to become available. I was born with a congenital heart defect (single functioning ventricle) and was in severe heart failure. During this saga, I lost my younger brother to mental illness. I also met other families enduring loss. I met the family of Gracie who was one of the children also suffering from CHD. We shared the same medical team. Unfortunately, she did not survive. She died just short of her 1st birthday. As I thought about these things I sat at the piano in the hospital and wrote this anthem. Gracie's Theme is an expression of my grief and sorrow for families affected by disease and loss. Starting 2 minutes in you'll start to feel joy and a vibe of motivation because no matter how hard life might be, it is still beautiful. I believe life should be celebrated! I believe life has a divine purpose. How we react to suffering matters. Every moment of our lives matters. I hope that this song will continue to inspire listeners to appreciate good health, family, and hope in a glorious reunion with those who have passed away. After waiting 385 days, I received my donor heart and a transplant in September 2009. God bless! -Paul Cardall

Paul: What a great tribute to our grand daughter Gracie and to the thousands of children born every year with CHD. Thank you for coming into our lives and for keeping the fight alive so we may save more children. May we always remember Gracie and the great fight she put up in her short time among us. I fell in love with this song, when i came here to see the video. Im glad i learned more about CHD. while i am a donor, that'll be some time before i can offer them to help someone else. im glad Paul has brought awareness to CHD. I will keep those with CHD in my prayers and make a donation for those families who have a similar story to yours. I'll bring awareness so that others can help forward progress on the fight against CHD. Im truly truly sorry for your loved one. I really want to give my kindest regards to your family. i have worked in a hospice program here for eight years now, and Paul, your music so speaks to me. We see death every day, but we also see love and acceptance and peace and quiet goodbyes. We also hear laughter erupting from the patient rooms.....it generally starts when someone says "do you remember the time....." What we are hearing in that celebration of life is a recognition of where we are, and acceptance. God bless you Paul for the beauty and solace you bring.......

Oh, wow!!! While listening to another one of your songs on Pandora, a little blurb of your profile caught my eye...you were born with congenital heart defect. Tears filled my eyes as, sadly, a family in our neigborhood just lost their 2 month old daughter, Claire, because she, too, was born with a congenital heart defect. She coded and passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. She was born January 15, 2019...my birthday. I will think of her each day and especially each year on my birthday. Gracie's Theme and the video is beautiful.

What you went through, what all these children and people have and will go through, is heartbreaking. This song, the story behind it, the real feeling, is heart building. Doctors do their their best to put hearts together, but this completely heals all wounds. I broke down in tears and my emotions welled up inside me as I saw all these faces, all these smiling faces, and I just can't imagine how hard it is for the people who suffer, and the the people around them. It's amazing how you wrote this and how moving it is. It's truly a gift to those suffering. I don't know what I would have done if my baby sister had been born with problems or something such as this. If my younger brother had problems, I would never be the same if he passed. they both mean so much to me and they are so young. All these young people, are going through too much, yet they smile and they laugh. You are an amazing person and an amazing musician, and I can only hope that everyone who goes through what you did, can pull through and continue to be remarkable and strong individuals.

Espetacular! Louvemos a Ele.

This is so powerful... I could feel the intensity of his songs but I didn't know his story at all. It's amazing how we feel so much love and his struggles through his music. Masterpiece!
