I was born and raised in LA and have been aware of Erwhon for YEARS! We have so many other wonderful high end priced markets other than this stupid chain! Most of their prepared foods are tasteless, not worth the money AT ALL! Congrats on your baby!!!🎉

as an italian gal, i felt the need to specify that “biscotti” is just the generic word for “biscuits” and actually what you’re eating in the vid is a specific kind called “cantucci”. They are a tuscan delicacy and i’d say pretty much only eaten in central Italy, typically served after lunch to be dipped in a sweet wine called “vin santo”, which is basically a liquor 😊

Waitrose does a paleo "granola" which costs a lot less and it's the same, many seeds and nuts. I think they add peanut butter and dark chocolate in some. I think they're better when sprinkled in porridge or yogurt/overnight oats

So glad to see you with "Papa" Booth (even though he's just a year my senior😁), Grace! I make "gourmet" popcorn for my clients as a holidays/end of year "I appreciate you" gift. Coconut oil has the perfect smoke point, imparts a buttery flavor & is dairy free/vegan. I take sea salt & pulverize it in a coffee/spice blender until powdery & put in a recycled spice jar/shaker. I do the same with a spice blend of choice (Penzey's in the USA has the BEST blends 😋) & pulverize with nutritional yeast to dilute the herbs' intensity & add a little cheesy umami. Pop the popcorn, throw into a bowl, shake with salt & seasoning to taste. Make sure to toss well while popcorn is still warm/"moist" & the seasoning will stick well. Remember, though, that the seasoning, being dust at this point, is much stronger, so less is needed. Enjoy!

To soften up your macaroons, stick a hunk of bread in the jar. The macaroons will get less dry and the bread will become hard. Works for most all cookies .... we like the Costco white chocolate macadamia cookies, but there are so many, we don't eat them within a few days and they become a little crumbly ... this makes them soft and delectable.

You are the sole reason why I desperately want to explore all the supermarkets in England whenever I visit. I love these videos ehehehe. I have personally gone to an Erewhon as well and I think it's severely overrated and overpriced, but some of their juices are amazing. (Still overpriced though.)

I have tried the Haile Biber smoothie and here’s one thing about Erewhom’s smoothie, it’s never gotten slushy even in LA sunshine, whatever makes that consistency is probably not natural😨 By the way I’d love to see you try Fuman&Mason honey with as many flavors as you can🍯they have so many to choose from and I’ve never known which one to get🤔

Erewhon was founded in the 1960s by the originator of the macrobiotic movement. He and his wife opened the first store in California, to source better quality food for their community. Another couple took over when the original owners passed, they grew the number of stores and then required an injection of capital from an institutional investor to expand further.
