took my old rig to a shop in the area I just moved, its an airlessco 6000g gas sprayer, my clutch wouldn't engage so I figure it was a electronic issue, turned it on for the repair guy who I didn't know was the owner to show him that the machine starts with first pull, it was in the shop for over 3 months, withing those three months they called me twice, first call to tell me I needed new packings, new piston, new circuit board, price they gave me was $720, I asked why and how they came to determine that my piston and packings were bad, since they havent installed a board yet, or even why they checked for that since I told them the problem was with the board, they said we always check everything to make sure we fix everything while is at the shop, told them to leave my pump alone and intact which was working before I had the electronic issue, month later they said I needed a new transducer, another $90, I gave them the green light on the board and transducer, 3 months later I go and pick up the machine, owner of the shop said it was $480 for new board, transducer, new spark plug and new carburetor. I said put my old carburetor and spark plug back on, and asked why he did that and said my carburetor was no good and also the spark plug, keep in mind the engine was running 100% when I dropped it off, also he had my pump all dissembled in a cardboard box and asked him what was the stuff in the box was? he says its your pump which needs new packings and piston, so I made him put my pump back together as I dropped it off, two days later I go in my garage and take the machine apart to put new packings and piston to find out Im missing parts inside the pump, sucks that most people nowadays are very dishonest, I dont know how people like this stay in business to tell you the truth.

I had GRACO and WAGNER machines few years ago. I repaired it myself. The sequence of the plastic rings and leather hide is on the back of new rings package. Follow it

mira normal mente sale solo hermano. pero si no puedes y esta demasiado pegado calienta la parte de afuera con una torcha y agarra la camisa con una perica y pegale ala perica para abajo para de se deslice. por que lo que ase lo caliente derite la pintura atorada y expande el fierro. alguna otra pregunta dejame saber.

Heeeeey muchas gracias por contestar mi pregunta, por lo pronto no tengo otra.lo que pasa es que tengo una gmax5900 que ha estado parada por mucho tiempo y ya no le sirven la camisa, el piston y los empaques....bueno .gracias y DIOS TE BENDIGA.

Yo le honestamente no pongo aftermarket packing en makinas de gasolina motivo es por que el empake ase mucha la diferencia en la vida de su piston y silindro. Pero mire si gusta yo lo dejo el empake original ala 80 y el precio normal es de 101.50 nunca nunca ponga de lo chinos o algo por el estilo. Ni ponga camisas ni piston chinos por que esos en menos de dos horas en agua se oxidan y por motivo de fierra chafa so ya se enmajina cuanto le va a duran en el trabajo. Y la camisa y piston de lo que yomles pongo a mis clientes aftermarket son segunada mano de graco y son buenos y ya save le puedo dar buen precio.

Hermano, Q tipo de grasa usas para lubricar el cilindro y los empaques ...o es aceite de motor ?

mira yo para los empaques no uso grasa el motivo es por que si usas grasa la tierra se keda pegada y al tiempo la pintura pegada e ase piedra dura y ese es el motivo que el piston se raya yo mejor uso aseite de motor lubrica bien todo y los empakes lo mantienes adentro para seguirse lubricando no como la grasa. y para el motor usa 10-30 aseite de carro. y no lo llenes demasiado por que sino aruinas el carburador y exfuersas las balbulas. hay disculpa mi espanol.

Cambie los empaques en mi maquina una airlessco lp540 pero la maquina pierde precion, cuando esta en uso ella se sigue prendiendo para mantener precion, que puede ser el problema?

son varias cosas cheka ke los empakes esten bien intalados el barril tiene que estar sin nungun rayon igual que el piston donde va la bola fijate que la rondana no este muy gatada son varias cosas que pueden causar likeo

walter flores si sólo escapa pintura por la rosca de arriba, no es la solución pero ayuda pone un más King o si no tienes 1/4 un plástico y sólo enrollas y la metes de nuevo y va estar un poco dura pero eso te va ayudar a que no escape pintura como te dije no es lo correcto pero te ayuda

Tengo una maquina a gas arranca pero cuando presiono el boton de succion de pintura se apaga alguien me puede decir a que se debe o que debo hacer para repararla

Cambiele el carburador si es que el motor esta viejo. O mas seguro el clutch esta mal ola cabeza donde van los engranes estan aruinados. Que.makina es?

Y la maquina se mantiene encedida cuando comienza a succionar se apaga

Si se apaga por que los engranes del clutch estan aruinados o el Clutch ya se te acabo y cuando el Clutch ensiende solo pega el puro hierro. Es algo complicaso de decirte en realida que es pero la verda yo siempre empieso por el motor y despues el clutch de alli ala cabeza. Por que si el motor no tiene suficiente comprecion es ovio que se va apagar cuando ya le Metes fuerza. Mira primero que el motor este bien. Por que muchas veces el motor puede mantenerce encendido pero sin ponerle nada de fuerza.

I don't know anything about doing this job but it at least looks like you've done it plenty of times. Some more time showing the actual bits you're dropping in here and there would be better. Your hands block the view so often and a box of parts that we can't see at all. Just too unclear for someone to follow for the first time. It's not even shown what comes in the new kit, so very hard to do using this video, unless the only reason you put it on KZfaq was to show people how fast you can do it and not actually show each step properly. Boasting that you are the best repair shop in your other comments makes me wonder how you would actually know you're the best and why more time wasn't taken to describe what you're doing. But as I stated, it does show you at least look like you know what you're doing, just not a very informative video on the actual process in detail.

What's the best method for removing the old sleeve?

First heat the cylinder where the sleeve is and that used a socket that will fit on top of the cylinder make sure the socket is little bit wider than the sleeve after is set on top just hit the socket with a old rod or something and than you will see the socket pushing the sleeve out. But make sure is hot so the old rust and paint get all loose. Any questions and if that help let me know.

That's the wrong way to fit a 7900 Bedford Kit, if the piston seals feel tight when hitting them into the cylinder, just bash the fuck out of them so they go in.

Never got any issue of that been doing these for 7 years and run my own shop. And by the way that is how i was shown by graco. And it doesnt have to be bedford kit even originals they go the same way there is no different.

john g if the piston rod has a nut on the piston valve will be different to put the packing on the piston after that is the same

of course they are bedford not all aftermarket packing fit well on aftermarket sleeves or rods that why are called aftermarket not all customers want original part, i dont see what im doing wrong my friend like i said 7 years doing these running my own shop the best repair shop in phoenix in less than a year in business. i dont think that makes me think im doing things wrong.
