I can explain that because I'm a hypnotherapist. Your mind only exists in the here and now, it doesn't understand the concept of time and future/past so if you first heard this when you were 7 then every time you hear it your mind still thinks you are 7. That's how we use memories in hypnosis to help people work through problems. I played this game in 2021 for the first time since I played it as a kid and I can still remember all the stages for the same reason.

@@pyrotechnick420 It was my favourite game by far back then, I loved it so much! I played it for months until I finally beat it. I had a friend come over and go through Neo City as I was watching so I could figure out the best path, it was hell in there! Video walkthrough before KZfaq. :P

@@michaelwan4543 ah yes. Been awhile since I played this game. It is amazing and various methods to make this game more challenging by starting each level in a particular order or by using a certain colour ninja throughout the game where possible.

In G.G Shinobi, Streets of Rage and (I think) the Game Gear version of Sonic, the composer was the same person, Yuzo Koshiro. Legend!

@@lowmoralfiber9270 You forgot Batman Returns. This ost was pre-Motohiro Kawashima 1992. Anything Koshiro made after Sonic 1/GG Shinobi and Streets Of Rage 1 on MD Genesis was always with Morohiro Kawashima hence why the music changed a bit.
