That checkpoint is very tough, but it's still doable on loop 1. Spread bomb is very good for the tight passageways flooding with enemies.

Gradius naming is weird outside of Japan, Konami thought various other names like "Nemesis" would sound cooler. Nemesis stuck around longer than the Vulcan Venture name.

@@kyokusagani8869 And Gradius II was NEVER released in US arcades, even though Thunder Cross and A-Jax managed to get a US release instead.

@@Jac2Mac Both of those had alterations made to them, so I suppose the lack of changes made to vulcan venture might be a giveaway? A-JAX cut the game length short for some bizarre reason and Thunder Cross got horrendously butchered, unlike most konami US releases. Perhaps they would have had faster bullet speed if it was USA.

@@kyokusagani8869 As it is, Salamander WAS released in US arcades and therefore was considered the sequel to Gradius in the US instead.

@@kyokusagani8869 Or, Gradius II could have been licensed to Romstar instead and Romstar would have probably toned down the difficulty and made it a 2 player simultaneous game with instant respawn when you die, but make the final boss very hard to compensate for that.

Super Nintendo gradius 3 is actually a good game! I'd be very happy to 1cc that since its not a buggy disaster.

G3 has its issues no doubt but imo most of the punishes were intented the goal was to make a merciless game and they succeed at it. As still a fan favourite after all these years, a celebration of the series even at an early stage. Just check the intro. And the soundtrack is as epic as can be. Super Nintendo s version is Diet Coke. Good stuff here by the way, subscribing

@@eljusticiero322 Aye, thank you! I understand why people like Gradius 3. I didn't find the laser desync bug in the last stage particularly fun at all. I won't say no to the arcade version though, if superviper did it, I might have to do it too. Do look forward to the Parodius Da arcade 1cc coming out later !

@@AndersonBSouza-jz6oe It is possible! An update released a month after the game came out allowed you to switch versions on any region.
