(Force Field) Si en la versión original de 1985 (Arcade) el último ítem es Shield, este protege sólo la parte frontal del Vic Viper, pero en esta versión de la NES, pese a cubrir sólo la parte frontal, protege toda la nave (Esto debido a un error de compilación a último momento o bien a una restricción de los parámetros de la consola, ya que a partir de ese entonces Konami estrujó las capacidades técnicas de la consola), razón de porqué ese item debería llamarse Force Field.

エンディングに出て来るアルファベットの頭文字を繋げると「KONAMI」になったと思う。 1周目が「KANGEKI」（感激） 2週目が「OMIGOTO」（お見事） 3週目がNIKUINIKUI（憎い憎い） 4週目がANTAWASUGOI（あんたは凄い） 5週目がMIAGETAMONDA（見上げたもんだ） 6週目がIUKOTONAINE（言う事無いね）だったかと。

So from what I read in comments, there are some hidden phrases in Japanese througout the game. I don't speak Japanese at all, all my translations are done with google translate. Kangeki - (In this game's context) Impressive Omigoto - Well done Nikuinikui - Difficult Antawasugoi - ? Miagetamonda - ? Iukotonaine - (Literally) Don't say/(My guess in context) Silence

ステージ2のビッグコアを2秒以内に倒すとステージ4へ行けるのですが2秒以内に倒すのはまず不可能です！最終ステージはレーザーよりダブルショットが有利です

I usually trigger the warp by pressing "B" fire buton really really fast than normal... Also Its much easier to trigger it when you have turbo switch button... 😄

I have played the Famicom version of Gradius many times, but this version is different. Does any body know where to find this version of Gradius? Is it a Hack or something? In the video at 2:36, thats not in the Famicom or NES version????? I would love to play it.

It's a warp zone. Just destroy the 4 hatches when your score is even to activate it. It will let you skip stage 2 straight into stage 3

why didn't you attack the bosses of both fortress stages?! is it a glitch? the bosses just hit the quit button?
