Maria Gabriela Carucci, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Architecture + Urbanism at MIT discusses her own work on pigeon politics as it relates to the bird’s ability to historically thrive indifferently from what anthropogenic purposes for them have been.
Carucci uses her research to expand on Sophie Friedman-Pappas' and TJ Shin’s practice that relates to topics of contemporary forms of surplus value production and the relationship between histories of nature and conditions of late capitalism.
