My parents migrated to America from Honduras and I’m the first college graduate of my family, so I know how hard you worked and how amazing you feel. I purposely skipped my undergrad graduation this year just to go to work because I needed to save up money for my master's. my parents didn't celebrate or anything because I didn't choose the major they wanted me to do. We just went on with life as normal. Even though I overcame my own battles during undergrad, I downplay my accomplishments a lot because I have imposter syndrome. but deep down I'm proud of myself. but something I hate is when parents take credit for the accomplishments their child does while not supporting them in that. but besides that. I'm glad your parents got to live out their dream through you. Congratulation!! masters is a big deal for us first-generation brown girls!!

I've learned to always CELEBRATE your Accomplishments, no matter how big or small. I attended all of my graduations because I became homeless before I graduated with my Associates Degree. I was in the shelter with 2 kids, and never missed a day of class. I use to cry in class, but at least I was there. I found a new home 3 months before my graduated with my Bachelors. Now I have an MBA, and I'm a Notary Public in NYC. If nobody else is proud of me... I am. Celebrate Yourself. 🌹🌹🌹

Imo English as a language is a farce and dreamed sounds way more poetic! Mohuya your story resonates so much, down to the baby girl cousin who came with your mom to support your first graduation. I myself am moving cross the country for law school and this video along with others reminds me to be proud of what I’m doing for myself, my family, and younger siblings, though I’m just starting my journey 🥺 Thank you for taking us along on this special day (I cried happy tears 🥲) and congratulations

I'm a 15 yearl old brown girl and you inspire me so much, I hope to succeed and make my parents proud of me like you did🥰 thank you for your amazing content btw it makes me so happy. I have my gcse exams and it's tiring but I watch your videos as a reminder to work hard and become independent, no one on both sides of my family ever moved out and plan to be the first person to do so haha😂

To whoever is reading this : May God bless you ! You’re gunna do great in life ! Put God first and everything will fall into place ! John 3:16 says , “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life ! Believing in Christ isn’t only enough! Even the demons believe! However, Matthew 6:33 talks about us seeking Him and spending time with Him in the secret place ( where He lives- Matthew 6:6). If we seek Him, we will find Him!
