For those whose ctl alt shift t doesnt work - select extrude layer -> transform or ctl+t -> move it once on left and once on bottom. Now try the ctl alt shift t or shift ctl t shortcut. It's weird but it works

Great video! Once I read the comments to figure out why ctrl-shift-alt t didn't work i was able to work through it slowly. I'm playing around with all the settings now to get different looks with different gradients. Thank you!

how do you stop the soft from chaning when you pick a guitar soft or so, it softs different when i test it out on the side and different

so im assuming can still follow these soemwhat im at a small size since its a .dds or i guess can use the full size then shrink it down to the size needed for the mod. other tuts i saw also want pacific size althugh trying to do BOT "bad/ugly" and "good/welldone" how do you make somethign such as a poster burnup and crapout and tear?

How would I copy the design and put it on a mockup? I've been making different text effects but don't know how to copy/save them so I can see how they look on t shirt mockups

Really nice tutorial. Thanks! You use Pixels (px) for fonts. Not "pt" Its O.k., but I think not common. I write it here, just as a note for other visitors of this tutorial (also you have to increasing the canvas for more text).

How can I add an additional line of text after finishing this effect. I want it to arc upward so it needs to be a new layer. When I tried to add a layer it only picked up the new text.

on my MAC, the Cmd-Opt-shft-T short cut to duplicate the Extrude layer required that I also have Caps Lock engaged... without Caps Lock nothing happened.

Feeling like I'm missing something. When you create your 21 extrude layers, you can see the shadow forming behind your type. Mine doesn't do that. It's like I'm looking at mine straight on. What is the set I'm missing?

Get to 4:40 in the video and it says "hit command+Option+shift+T (Mac) and duplicate layer 21 times". Nothing happens - the layers aren't duplicated like they are in the video! I'd really like to use this approach on a project but can't unless someone has any idea why the shortcut isn't working. Latest version of Photoshop 2024 on an M2 equipped Mac. Any help really appreciated.

@@studiospero It worked for me! It’s because u missed the transform step in the beginning that sets up for the drop shadow.. I started complaining over and followed all steps and it worked perfectly

For those whose ctrl+alt+shift+t doesn't work. Here's a manual/automated way to do it: 1. Start to record an Action (named it as you want) 2. follow ONCE the instruction given by "Josh from MSVA" (Select layer kopy, move it -1x, -1y) 3. stop recording the Action 4. play the Action until 21 Layers done

Procreate is an easier tool to learn than Illustrator. Both have tons of resources to learn the program. Procreate is beginner-friendly and lets you jump right in.

I dontnlike to brag but ive been tought by some of the best n.y. writers since i was like 4yrs younger then them they took me under their wing like a little brother and showed me everything cause i was always at the writers bench in the bonx yup the only little white boy there .lol. So my style of graffiti is N.y. style im 50 yrs old now and still doing jackets, canvas .. So i just started with procreate and still learning but now i can do a piece on procreate and then i clean it to the max and then i send it to my epson 4760 ET with sublimation ink in it and i print out 1 of a kind tshirts jus like the jean jackets in the 1980s. .. So thats my story and now i got a tshirt press 15×15 a airbrush fo detail work and i was jus doing it for fun now im banking on these 1 of a king custom Tshirts .. My fb is matt Salamone i dont put my graffitti up on fb i dont want a million people askin me questions u kno .. But if u ask me to see sumthing i will take a pic and send it to ur fb ...well enuf bullshitting thanks for answering myquestion. .MUCHRESPECTAND1LOVEFAM !!!♥💲💯😎💥

For some reason my extrude group that gives the block letter look did not come out the way yours did. Ive been messing with it for ages I can't seem to get it to look like yours so I guess It'll have to do. Irritating af cause I love the block look with the stripes but oh well still came out nice ugh

Please follow the steps carefully again. If it still does not work, your version of Photoshop may be old or you may not have enough space on your system.

while your layer is select go to Edit menu and Free Transform OR Press CTRL + T from your keyboard.

Make sure you do this: 01:25 >>> grab the move tool from the tools panel. make sure the text layer is selected. press CTRL and T. press the left key from your keyboard for 1 time, also the bottom key for 1 time.

@@PhoTuts tq it work for me, if you are using an old computer, you just have to wait a few second for your computer to generate the copied layer, just press CTRL/ALT/SHIFT/T 21 times then wait a moment, you wont see any change after copying it 1 or 2 times, at least that was what happen to me.
