But a lot of graffiti is vandalism, and you shouldn't just call the police straight up, but ask if they're allowed to do that and if they have a permit or whatever. Graffiti is a form of art, but can very easily become vandalism

Jeff!! YT yeah there’s art, like doke’s work, and then there’s tags, which yes, they have a more extensive meaning than just vandalism, but does not make the place look nice. I’d be ok with tags if they were, for example, behind a bush or under a bridge or something and also not on top of graffiti art, just so they were out of sight and don’t ruin the look of the place.

As an outsider, all I can tell you is that I support graffiti art, but I shit on taggers. Like wtf are you putting your name on this wall that belongs to everybody? A tag is just for the tagger, a painting or some other artistic graffiti is for everyone to enjoy. I hate taggers.

This interaction with police had good and bad things. It's good that police feel accountable or like they should be tranquilizing and educating the people of that place. It's bad that they cannot quickly check if it's a legal wall or not and so are forced to "show work" to those that called them. Literally the only thing the government had to do was to put a page online with a google maps that would fetch a file with the legal walls and show them on the map along with the location of the user.

tu stenu som osobne riesil aj ja, asi 14 rokov dozadu, sme tam malovali este ako prvi volakedy. najprv som to riesil na skole, potom ma odkazali na karlovesky sportovy klub, lebo cely areal maju pod spravou oni. alebo aspon mali. take zamotane to bolo, ale malovali sme tam x krat a nikdy policajti nedosli. zaujimave, ze teraz aki su aktivni.. skvela robota inak.

The sign that let people know it was a legal wall was destroyed, so from an outside perspective what he was doing was vandalism

Cops said they don't like the mural but wait till the end. Probably one of the best murals I've ever seen😂 love the detail and the color scheme. Actually adds to the scenery.
