Think about it this way, it’s easier too be too cold because you can always wear a thicker jacket or warmer layer. But if it’s hot and the ac goes out, you’re basically living in the basement until you can get the ac worked out.

As a child I lived about 25 miles from the nearest town. It was nice. I could drive around in our car when I was 8 years old. Ride horses, hunt, fish with no pesky people getting in the way

There are loads of small towns that not so remote as these. And if you are lucky you live a few miles from any towns. But are within 20 or 30 minutes from a larger town where you can get what you need.

Post Office being in the same building as the fire department is pretty common. And only one fire station, is normal for most communities. The gas station being 45 minutes away is the only unusual thing in that first one.

Kodajo, Maine in the USA may not be super secluded but its population sign states, Population, Very Few. It's population hovers around 4 to 6 people. It's in northern Maine, on Moosehead Lake and is somewhat secluded.

Mckinaw island is a Good destination in the summer or the fall. I'm from the lower peninsula of Michigan and a lot of people go to Mackinaw island for their vacations. It's absolutely stunning and I like how there are no cars allowed. You don't have to worry about going there in the winter since they basically shut the island down in the off-season. And yes Michigan does also get hot in the summer so it's not cold in the summer😂.

I love Mackinaw Island. One of my favorite places on earth. I try to go every summer. It has a lot of history, they do carriage tours and have an old fort you can explore. It really is so beautiful. And it’s known for the Grand Hotel and Mackinaw Island Fudge. Visitors don’t go in the winter really and a lot of people are summer time residents.

Your son was correct! That picture was of Devils Tower! And Native American legends say that a giant bear was chasing children who went to the top for safety, and that’s why it looks like there’s claw marks

Grahams, this is a good one. I saw this when it first posted 5 years ago. Although I've visited WA (as well as the other 49 states), I've not been to Stehekin. However, re. the lake it's on (Chelan), it's pronounced shuh-LAN rather than shuh-LANE. I have, however, been to Supai (SUE-pie) AZ--twice, having backpacked in back in the early '90s. It's an 8-mile/12.9 km. hike on a steep, narrow trail at the start, but it's really a beautiful place, and as he said, it's the home of the tiny have-uh-SUE-pie tribe of just several hundred people, and located in Havasu (HAVE-uh-sue) Canyon. The translation of Havasupai is "people of the blue-green water". By contrast, in the same state (Arizona) there's the largest tribe in the US and Canada--the Navajo (NAV-uh-hoe)--the most widely spoken tribal language in the US and Canada, with around 170,000 speakers (of nearly 400,000 members), as well as one of the most difficult languages in the world to learn, having glottal stops, 3 tones, nasalizations, and 42 sounds. I've also been to Haines, AK, arriving via Alaska State Ferry from Skagway, about 30 mi./48km. to the north. This was back in '84, when I drove from northern Illinois--a round trip total of 9244 miles/14,874 km. in 31 days. I arrived in Skagway the morning of the 8th. day.

Graham Family Reacts a little heads up the thing about Small Towns here in the U.S.A there's not a whole lot of cops 2 lend y'all a hand should y'all happen 2 bump/run in2 trouble (The Sheriff AKA Small Town Police Chief/Commissioner (whether born in that Small Town or not plus also whether Male Gender or Female Gender) & either 1 Deputy/a couple Deputies or a few Deputies or just The Sheriff that's it) depending on the size of Small Towns in the U.S.A!

There’s a “town” that he missed. The reasons he likely didn’t include it is because in one the population of 1,000 people in 1980 no stands at 5 as of 2020. Second, is as far as the US Postal Service is concerned Centralia, PA no longer exists. The ZIP was officially discontinued in 2002 and the “town” was merged with the nearby town of Ashland, PA. This is the town that inspired the video game series Silent Hill. There are numerous documentaries on the history of the town and its demise including a three part series that WFMZ 69 news did on the area and the continuing story of the fires still burning under the entire area. The fires have been burning since 1962. It’s a interesting but also very sad story, especially how the US government approached the situation.

The square mountain that popped up (the bear claw comment) is Devils Tower National Monument. The ancestral description of its creation is a large bear chased kids up to the top and clawed all the sides trying to get them.

I like my little town in Texas. Population is about 6,000 and change. But it’s right in the middle of everything. 82 miles west of me is San Antonio, 94 miles north of me is Austin. And the Gulf Coast is about 60 miles south of me. I am content. Great video. Looking forward to the next one. 🤠👍🇨🇱

Hi, I don’t understand why or who tells you not to visit NY or Austin, Texas. I’ve lived in and around New York City most of my life and it is an amazing city to visit. Too expensive to live there now but there are many many things to see and do. Currently living about 45 minutes south of Austin and, again, I wouldn’t listen to people to tell you not to visit. Suggest to check out the vlogger SHAUN from Scotland for his perspective.

Tell Gavin that to be penalized twice against older boys in his hockey game might give him some standing with his teammates. I was a young boy on my hockey team and I was the youngest, but I was a defenseman and I played tough, got penalized, but my teammates loved my toughness and fighting abilities. 🤓 Did you win?

Do not react to “The National Anthem as You’ve Never Heard it Before”, please, please, please. I love our National anthem, the story is awesome, but that video is so over stated, and wrong. If you want to know how the US National Anthem was written, please watch “The Real Story Behind The National Anthem”. It’s told by a military expert, and (gasp!) it’s true. If you want to, after you see the real story then you can watch the other one, which is overly romanticized and way over Christianized (maybe not a real world, but so appropriate in this situation. The true story is wonderful enough, it does not need to be made fake and trashy.
