I just received my Grainmaker .99 in the mail. Join me in unboxing it. This is a tough grain mill that looks to be very high quality. I am excited to get to use it and put it through it's paces.

Received my GM99 this past week. That bad boy is a BEAST! Well worth the three-month wait while Bitterroot caught up on their backlog.

+Bug Out I am very impressed by the GrainMaker so far. I don't see me having any trouble with it unless I convert my diet to rocks and even then it may be the mill to buy. Thanks for the comment and the view.

Hello Thank you for your video. Could you (or anybody else) suggest what spare parts it is convenient to buy with the mill? I was thinking perhaps: an extra set of burr and shaft & bearings. I am not sure about the auger.. Also, have you got any experience with the Homestead Huller kit? How often is it necessary to change the huller replacement pads? I am based in Italy and perhaps it is more cost-effective to order extra parts with the mill... Thank you very much!

Vicente Jesús Mine was a little over $650 if I remember right. Not cheap.

I ordered my Grainmaker 99 seven weeks ago. Price with shipping was $745. So you know where my stimulus check! So did lots of others. Bitterroot got more orders in Apr and May than all of the previous year combined. Over on TheFreshLoaf site, GrainMaker and Diamant are the highest-rated mills. (TFL is a site with loads of professional and artisan bakers, so the membership's endorsement of GrainMaker is big.) I'm a devotee of Self-Sufficiency: Canning my own food, and growing it after I finish my move. Been thinking about a GrainMaker for years, but the panic a few months ago spurred me. While waiting for my mill, I bought four 50-lb bags of differing varieties of wheat. Still need to buy Durum, so I can grind my own pasta flour. Am excited because of the health of home-milled flour. And the GrainMaker will mill anything, including peanut butter! Really looking forward to receiving my mill!
