Для меня Олеся вообще самая лучшая Раймонда, смотрю её уже несколько лет в этой роли и не перестаю восхищаться! На самом деле мисс совершенство!

BabylonSistaah Olesya chooses to not be a principal because she already had 3 children. As a soloist, she has less to do.

We only know it is a production at La Scala, but you are right : the violin soloist deserves congrats as well. And Galzunov for such a beautiful composition.

Perhaps Novikova would move to Bolshoi or overseas as the principal dancer rather in Mariinsky as the soloist only.

Have you seen Maria Khoreva? She has been promoted first soloist but she has just graduated! Novikova is from 10 or 11 years in Mariinsky theatre as first soloist... and she hasn't been promoted principal dancer yet! There isn't justice in the world...

@@white.swan. Novikova has been dancing with Mariinsky since 2002 along with her classmate and fellow top graduate, Evgenia Obraztsova. It's unfair to see her in that position, but like most vaganova graduates, SPB is home. Atleast Mariinsky allowed her to dance Prima Ballerina roles like O/O, Raymonda, and Nikiya. Obraztsova was limited to soubrette roles and some are even taken from her repertoire that's why she moved to Bolshoi.

@@zeddnl6514 It's true... I heard that Obraztsova was limited to such roles in Mariinsky because of her height... She isn't very tall, so she wasn't allowed to dance the role of O/O. Now at Bolshoi is better in my opinion. For Novikova... it's really, really unfair that is at the same level of Khoreva.

Mariangela Fabiano The Bolshoi was good to Obraztsova but like Mariinsky, she wasn’t given any “Prima Ballerina” roles, atleast she was able to dance Nikiya under Filin but with Vaziev, it’s impossible. Impossible. She will never dance O/O, Nikiya or even Raymonda which is Vaziev’s favorite Prima Ballerina role. The situation with Khoreva? I really can’t point anything. She’s an amazing dancer for her age but not great like Zakharova or Vishneva who became Principals after their first season.

Beautiful as always. But the mediocre Teatro alla scala, doesn't give justice to her and her perfect performance. Italian corps de ballet and soloists are awful.
