5:15 I reckon he's talking about Rage Evil Empire. They recorded some in Atlanta and it wasn't happening for whatever reason and they ended up tracking it at Cole Rehearsal.

why doesn t Brendan give a shit or want to hear what a musician came up with? he says we need to get rid of that shit ... thats a pretty narrow minded approach, regardless of how good he thinks he is. I heard his work with Springsteen - it wasnt mindblowing

He's taking about when a band brings something they've mixed. Thats the diff between a producer and an engineer. Producers mould the sound and form it/change it/think of things the band wouldn't necessarily do, not in every case but mostly that's what they do. So yeah if you're hiring Brendan, the last thing he'll care about is any so called production values on a demo, he doesnt want you to be 'married' to anything because that makes his life harder when he tells you to make the mid 8 the chorus! That is unless you're Springsteen, you prob get what you want in that case!

I've heard Brent Cobb talk about this. He says if you can pull out your phone and play what sounds like a finished song, "So what am I supposed to do? It's done!"

Springsteen is dogshit. That's the problem. He can't do everything for the artist and with someone like that you probably can't even advise them. His job was just to record and mix most likely.

How is this an "exclusive" interview? Are you the only one who has ever been allowed to interview Brenden. "Exclusive" means "This person isn't talking to anyone else. I am the only one who can interview them. If you want to hear this person interviewed, you must watch it HERE". This.... isn't that.
